Ffs rotate squad

We have bianco..ruscoe..macrae..Carmichael...waiting in the wings even Krueger..Kelly and murley

Rotate the squad !!!
Bianco ok player trust if we have injuries. Ruscoe I do believe could make himself a best 22 player at pies or another club. Not a spot for him down back at the moment. Macrae needs to do more with ball and improve to break in and is fighting Adams, Mitchell. Carmichael needs to regain early form in VFL. Krueger let him earn his spot has played two good games in VFL a few more potentially give him a shot.

Kelly and Murley need to do more to be considered.

This round we were missing De Goey, Elliott, Sidebottom, Ginnivan, Howe, McStay all potentially best 23. Surely that is enough rotation. Harvey Harrison looks like a trusted player. McInness looks like he could be a player.

Pendles was a long way from our worst and kept battling away as the champion he is but for the first time today I thought he looked every bit of 35 at times.

Not writing him off mind you but at 35 the reality is we can't expect him to be the Pendlebury of old forever and eventually father time gets us all.

The soup was a shitty chunky consistency today; we looked too slow without De Goey’s burst. Pendlebury is never going to be that of course, but he looks better when he can hit the faster players moving past in stride.

Sier thickened the soup. Sounds like Jordy purees the soup.

Everyone knocking Pendles should feel embarrassed.

Scott Pendlebury (26 disposals @ 69%, 359 metres gained, 9 contested possessions, 17 uncontested possessions, 2 intercept possessions, 14 kicks, 12 handballs, 3 marks, 4 tackles, 6 clearances, 3 centre clearances, 3 stoppage clearances, 2 Inside 50s & 6 Rebound 50s) had an uncharacteristic game filled with skill errors and poor execution under pressure. Pendlebury was one of the only few players that won clearances for his team, and worked hard on both sides of the ball to distribute territory from defence or across half forward, which was where the ball movement continually broke down.

To be fair, Pendles has played nearly every game to an astonishingly high standard so when he’s below his best it’s really noticeable. However, I do agree that he was one of our best,

He was far from our worst and still had a decent game by the standards of mere mortals.

However, knowing him for the superhero he has been for so many years, it's the first time I can say I have seen him look slow, under pressure and making so many errors in a single game.

We will get at least another year out of our superstar, who knows, maybe even two, but yesterday I saw, for the first time, that his armour could be pierced and was forced to face up to the reality that no one lives forever.

I think he'll retire with a 2023 premiership medallion.
