I suspect he got nailed early, was moving and deciding slowly but still got some things done.

Our gameplan risks ugly turnovers, plenty of our blokes got bagged in the midfield and coughed it up or went backwards.

When it works we all have multiple orgasms, so thats the tradeoff.

He definitely was struggling to move on Monday. Reckon he copped some sort of corky early but played it out.
Nick also seemed to be getting work done on his leg at half time in the rooms

Hopefully we get another crack at them in September with De Goey, Steele and Howe back.

Jmac just delisted Jamie Elliott. Apparently the finishes against Essendon and Carltank didn’t move him one iota.

Manage him. I hope people write him off, imagine Pendles on a back flank in a Final and the opposition leaving him out of their calculations.

Great news. It would be a sporting travesty of justice if he doesn't get another 1 or 2 flags.
I was going to say exactly the same thing. The players really need to give him at least one more flag before he retires. He deserves it more than anyone

Legend of the club, time to move into coaching.

Defensively he has become a training cone, and offensively he is struggling with the pace of the game.
LOL it's like Graham Wright read this strange comment and decided to do the opposite....sign him up again :tearsofjoy: Maybe doing the opposite of Kappa's negative and pointed dribble each time is a good strategy for the club?

Yes! The thing that burned the most about 2018 for me was not getting to see Pendles hold up the cup as skipper. So ****n close. **** Dom Sheed

Forgive the intrusion, just wanted to pay respect to the great man. In my eyes, 300 games with the one club is up there as one of the greatest achievements possible by a player. The longevity and dedication required by the individual and the commitment shown by the club for this milestone to be achieved really takes something special in the cutthroat world of football. The fact that Pendlebury is within striking distance of 400 and that he is still playing good footy is just next level. The kind of role model that young kids supporting any team should look up to.

How far can he go? I was doing some rough numbers today but I think he would need next year and the year after to beat Boomer. I was thinking more than likely top 3 but you never know.

And McStay.

McStay was needed last night to make the second of Lever or May (the one not on Mihocek) more accountable. I'd love it if we can architect McStay on May in the next battle.

But we lost this in midfield. We can't play Adams and Mitchell in the same centre square - if the ball spills to beyond the 2m circle at the ruckmens' feet, they are cooked. It happened a few times on the day, and we lost each one (including the final centre bounce of the night)
