Didn't know this until you mentioned it, seems its an old bug that boncer34 has seen before.

If you dive deep into the archives of the sub forum on the cricket board you'll see a string of 50 over matches where the chasing team need 3, got a no ball last ball, also cracked a 4 and still lost by 2.

Thing is it doesn't favour one team so as far as I'm concerned it's an accepted balls up.

Amusingly the BigCricket league reached out to the sim creator about it, he was incredibly surprised his sim was being used in this way and also basically told them to shove off.

Not a great day. We let them get a lot more than what they should have and then haven't found things too easy with the bat with only Proper Gander managing to put together a good innings with another half century.

We'll need to get as many runs as we can tomorrow and then bowl well to try and defend whatever target is posted.

Just as a matter of interest, if my maths is correct, the 81st over (bowled by cooney) actually went for 10, not 6 - 2 fours, a no ball and a leg bye. So 2 questions:

• why has the sim only registered 6 runs for this over, and
• without checking every over from every game, does this happen often?

If a team loses by 3 runs or 1 wicket, there might be cause for complaint .

This seems to happen every time there is a no-ball - any subsequent runs off that delivery are not counted.

I think the only solution here is to restart the entire season

It's a well known glitch within the sim and has been around for a long time. Any score on a no-ball isn't counted.

There's also the other glitch where players can be dismissed on a wide (aside from a stumping) which appears to be two balls that aren't differentiated within the output of the simulator.

Unfortunately there's not much that can be done about the glitches at this stage.
