Curious who would be leading Mitta's BF at the moment. See Culphy in the best most weeks, he a good chance or not, he keeps telling me he is :D

I think tuenon is looking a likely winner at this stage. Don't know how old he is has to be nearly 40 but a few of the guys tell me he is in career best form and probably fitter than alot of the young blokes

Not being a KSC person, I have not seen enough of Arns or Whitsed to form an opinion as to who should or should not be selected. But I will say that the anticipated reaction SHOULD NOT ever be considered as a selection criteria.

Also, after the Rutherglen-Saints game on sat, many of us went into the rooms and enjoyed the customary post-game drinks. However, it seems a real shame (for Wodonga Saints) that all the money being put over the bar was going to Wodonga Bulldogs. Surely the saints need to try find a way to sell their own grog, as it would be very hard to run a footy club that does not have access to such a money-spinner

Totally agree, however I think Shimmer is making a point that the coaching staff at KSC would rather drop a loyal local who is not going to cause a scene or walk out on the club rather than a new recruit who is probably being paid a fair amount of money and will crack the sh_ts with the club (even though his current form warrants it).

It's the same with Richo from what Shimmer said in an earlier post. He can't play 2 consecutive games because of his fragile, weak body yet the pelicans at Kiewa keep playing him in the seniors (all but one week) when his body is only partly ready for it. Hopefully for the club he is only being paid on a games played basis. Why on earth they don't play him in the 2nds for a few weeks and then if his body is up to it AND if is playing good enough footy put him back into the seniors - Oh I forgot, they wouldn't want to have a past player from Wodonga crack the sh_ts with club because they aren't playing seniors.

Will Richo limp his way through the remainder of the season playing perhaps once every 6 or 7 weeks to then be chosen in the seniors grand final team (putting out some other player who actually deserves to be there) and then miss another shot at goal in the dying stages of the game (that anyone else would have kicked) losing Kiewa another premiership? I hope not!

If Kiewa really want to win a senior premiership this year, then Simon Bone and his other monkey assistants need to harden the fcuk up and make some tough (and correct) decisions - even if it does upset a paid player or two!

Richo did not play on the weekend but the reason i'm not sure. Pick a body part any body part. I think this week it was calf.

CS I agree completely on the Al Whitsed/Arnott argument but it doesn't hold much legs at Kiewa as Al is a loyal local and Bikkies a recruit, simple as who's more likely to take getting dropped well.

Ill admit that ive only seen Arnott play that once this year and ive seen Al Whitstead play since back in my Barnawartha days, Al always seems to make an impact, while Arns looked slow, no leap and didnt look like he was going to ever find much football, but he could have just had a bad day against us.

Sounds like Kiewa have afew problems off the park?????

Geez the lads at wahgunyah must feel short changed. they go to the trouble of getting gunn from thurgoona sighted (which aint cheap) for two different incidents, have to wait something like 4 or 5 weeks til the investigator pulls his finger out and then he only gets a one week suspension in the end. not much value for money there i dont think.

Is my previous post anywhere near accurate Shimmer?

Fairly accurate there sunny, sounds to me like you might know the Kiewa footy club a little more than you let on because you got that finals situation from last year spot on.

And CS the problems at Kiewa only start in finals when deserving players get dropped for undeserving ones. At the moment all smooth sailing!!

I know a bit about Kiewa as well as other clubs. The thing is that when people are not happy they tell others about it, and from talking to others I do know that there were alot of disgruntled Kiewa people in the club during the finals last year - especially grand final week!!!

Seems to me Shimmer that your statement about deserving players only getting dropped during finals is not true as this whole conversation began with us chatting about recent games and A Whitstead being dropped when there seems to be others playing far worse.

Can any doggies supporters let me no how young mark 'Junior boy' jones has been playing lately? started the year on fire then has gone missing in the last 3 or 4 weeks.is he injured or just living the high life at club sunset!

Yes I understand your point there sunny but believe me i am not a selector so these decisions aren't up to me. I was more making the point of the furore (anger) at these decisions seems to happen in finals time. This topic was actually started by a player from another club wondering why Al had been dropped.
If it does happen in finals time expect a much different outcome on the site (A Bloody Uproar)!

Yeah your probably right KAM, but as said on this thread when it happened it depended which colours you were wearing on the day for your opinion. It is a pity that we dont play each other again this year, would make for interesting football. Also might ignite another rivalry within the league, my advise to the people whom do the draw, let us play twice next year!

Well KAM i think if you were at the game and seen which was the weakest, lowest and dirtiest king hit that Gunn took out on Parker was absolutely piss weak. He should of copped at least 6 weeks for it. He actually got 2 weeks in the end and im sure any other club would of paid and done the same thing that Wahgunyah done by getting him sighted.

Yeah getting a kick but don't you know how hard it is to get in the best as a backman! That's right you might not! Nah haven't seen too much of the ball in the past few weeks but should be a cracker against mitta this week.

Buddy, let's get one thing straight - a king hit is when you hit someone when they're not looking. This bloke ran up to a player mouthing off like a hero and got sat on his arse - face to face. Some advice for the lad - if you wanna be running in aggressively with plenty to say, you better get your dukes someone up near your face. Apparently the same player got sat down by a Rutherglen player when they played. And the fact is this - he got one week for knocking Parker out - not 2. He got 1 week for retaliating and hitting that poor excuse for a coach you have, and that was only because the tribunal members said that it was a minor contact and we'd give you a reprimand if we could, but under VCFL rules we cannot. Wahgunyah paraded 6 witnesses before the tribunal, but the only bloke who purported to have seen the actual contact didn't even know who was on the mark. Added to that, all six so called "witnesses" had different versions of the incident, even down to where the incident happened on the ground. It was comedy at its finest. By the end of the hearing the whiteboard looked like a warzone, I thought eight people had been hit, 12 had been charged with striking and fourteen people were on the mark when we had finished. In the end we all just wanted to go home. This was despite the fact that the so called Investigations Officer was fraternising with the Tiger boys at every break in proceedings. And no, any other club in this League would not have paid to get the player cited, most just move on.

Ha some things never change Gus, just stirring the pot like a good cook down there at the kennel. Wonder if Hayden Gleeson was one of the witness', think he is still hurting from 04' HFL grand final.:D:D

What so you can spend more money on frivilous tribunal appearences. Tell me would Wahgunyah have got so upset had they held on to the 40 point lead they had in the third quarter and won instead crumbling like they did. Tell me how often do Wahgunyah blokes try and fight out of there weight devision, initiate contact with an obviously bigger opponent then squeal like pigs after they get sat on there arse. By all reports old Parker was very sheepish in the hearing as he knows he was the one who ____ed up. i also heard as Run Straight says above that the wahgunyah's evidence was laughable at best. I think they must have been represented by Dennis Dinuto who felt the VIBE of the thing. w***ers:D:D

Parker got sat on his arse agaisnt rutherglen? ha ha i was there mate and it was the other way around he was on the giving end not the receiving end and thats why he got suspended for one week. And who are you to call Matt rogers a poor excuse for a coach? He would be as good as any other in the league if you weren't so bias. In footy if you have even played before? the thing you learn is to cope with the talking shit and keep playing footy. Most good players in the league or in any other league going around learn to cope with it why cant he? And by the way mate its 2008 and they are the "lions" not the tigers mate you should know that since you act like you know everything else.

I was right beside it and Parker got sat fair on his arse, the only person he hit that perticular day was 16 years old ( B.Hutton) and then turned around to hit another bloke ( Mutt Quinn). Parker shaped up, mouthed off and 2 hits later was on the floor 6 wahgunyah players piled on Quinn and all hell broke loose. Parker was quick to disapear out the back after he picked himself up off the ground. Thats how it happened in round one champ

firstly mate brodie is 18 years old and if he's gonna run round throwing out cheap shots to anyone and everyone he's gonna cop alot more than that.
Even though that might not have been enough because he still carried on with it again on saturday. so how about you get your facts right or keep your mouth shut.
