fair road trip from Kinglake or Alexandra
There’s potential for promotion-relegation out there anyway if you could get all the clubs involved - the Ellinbank league is basically in the same area as the WGFL. Even Alberton and Mid Gippsland as well.
The future of Kinglake, Yea, Alexandra and Thornton Eildon may lie north anyway - closer to Goulburn Valley, O&K, Kyabram District.

Broadford to Bonnie Soon 112.5 km bugger that too far.Think you will find Thornton Eildon are done... The remainder of the northern based sides are quite happy with the current situation so i am informed. With the addition of Broadford they are basically getting a northern based competition. These clubs are recruiting out of Melbourne so being in this competition suits their situations. Bonnie Doon would be potentially a good addition.

I've travelled from Melbourne to Balranald for games before!!!
Umpiring Mid Murray games a few times a year back in the early 90's. Makes trips to Alex feel rather short...Playing for Balranald?

Amazing that a group of people that pay zero attention to clubs and base decisions around what THEY think is best can’t grow a pair and just make an adult decision on their own when they are actually required to lead. All of a sudden they are all too keen to hear from their constituents. Enough is enough already.Well tonight’s announcement was a bit . . . Nothing.
And if it all becomes too much, let’s not judge ... because the first day of footy/netball whenever it does come round should be a proud and joyous day for allWe need to take a breath,
The league and commission have surveyed clubs and players throughout the whole process.
The timelines have been followed and ticked off up until now, uncontrollable factors have caused a minor delay.
There are a few things that we need to consider, clubs need to be putting in place a go ahead structure, netball, u18 football and juniors looks likely and playing senior football can’t be discounted. So the notion that we will all just pack up and go home is disrespectful to the members of your club that will play.
I see it as a great opportunity for club members to focus on areas that don’t get the spotlight.
Time for some empathy for the decision makers rather then potting them imo
The timelines have not been ticked off up until now. The league very clearly stated that a decision would be made and conveyed by June 23. June 23 has been and gone. As far as empathy goes, they are more than happy to make decisions without club consultation on a regular basis, now all of a sudden they are tripping over themselves to consult their constituents so they can point to a club vote when they inevitably pull the pin. Times up, there is so little clarity around how things will work, the government has extended the state of emergency till late July leaving the window for any sort of meaningful competition too tight. It’s their role and in a couple of cases full time job to make decisions. Time to deficate or get off the pot.We need to take a breath,

The league clearly said outdoor gatherings of 500 would be required to host senior men’s. Now we have been reduced to 5 indoors and 10 outdoor I give the season no chance of taking off.
