SEASON 2023

You're a little bit out.

The only match day roles I have not performed for the clubs I have been involved with are trainer and barman.

30 years experience on sporting league and club committees and also was employed to manage the day-to-day affairs of a sporting competition for a number of seasons.
I’d suspect you are not the type they wish to avoid giving voice to . I apologise if it came across pointed toward you .

With so much rumour, innuendo and rubbish about the league, I note applications for board positions are open.

Also I wonder who may have taken up the offer by Aaron to contact him.

Some of the stuff being written on here is far from accurate. I suggest write nothing if you don’t have anything somewhat accurate to say.
What is inaccurate? Seems a lot of posts “defending” the said league but with no basis.

10571z protect the league at all costs 🤣
Not sure why anyone would want to contact the league as it is just a one way conversation of how good they have done, how the football is so much better, grow the competition, financially it’s better off
Now is all of the above true and factual, who knows so will argue it’s not and some will argue that it is.

So questions have been asked but no answers

Will Yea have a team in 2023?
Are Kinglake included in 2023 fixture?
Have Hallam been given assurances that they won’t have to travel to Broadford or Alex?
Are Narre looking to depart in 2024?
Why have comments been blocked on fixtures?

So simple questions, let’s see if we get some simple responses

No answers will be provided. They will release Div 2 and it will be just like taking a huge dump on the remaining clubs. Then it will be all to late.

ChristianBoy but I thought they have said that they are approachable and open to a chat.
Well what better way than to answer all the questions I asked on an open forum.
That way there is no misinterpretation of any information.
Let’s what and see if the questions are answered, they seem to read and want to respond when being criticised, they are genuine questions, fingers crossed they jump back on and answer the questions

League still peddling Kinglake and Yea are fielding senior sides.

Looking after Hallam but burning long time YV clubs without a care.

With a new year brings a new footy season... however still many questions to be answered. The fact we are yet to have a Division 2 fixture released says the league is giving Yea and Broadford every possible chance to prove they can make up numbers and field teams.

Surely if Yea do not get a team up we can not go into a season with a 5 team comp - Warburton, Alex, Powelly, Junction and Broadford - If Broady also can not get a team up we will be left with a 4 team comp which must be untenable...

You forgot Kinglake

No the league knows Yea is no chance of being a stand alone senior team. This is the reason the draw hasn’t been released as yet. By the time they dump this steaming turd on the five clubs they will give them the it’s to late now response.

In the meantime Belgrave and Hallam sit back with back room deals removing themselves from the shit show Div 2 is.

Complete madness... so we are likely to have a 5 team competition - does this mean all teams play each other 4 times for a 16 round season? Surely anything less than this is not sustainable...

Sounds like the only way Powelltown will get out of Division 2 is to swap to the Eastern league for a season then try and get re-admitted into Outer East Division 1 via the same sort of back room deal that Hallam used (using that example as precedent to get promotion).

What about Belgrave. They’ve won 1 game in 2 seasons. How the hell do they get to stay up it’s a waste of a day playing them. Hallam not much better. The Div 2 finals I watched last season all four teams would belt YG Hallam Belgrave and Healesville

* 20 round season with four byes.

Should have been two divisions all along, but we will still get Yea in the fixture and then we will get a last-minute communication from the Kremlin in March to say Yea are staying in recess and that it was too late to make it two divisions. Hogwash.

Don’t bullshit no one could be that moronic.

Healesville beat Emerald, Berwick Springs, Gembrook and Seville throughout the H&A season.

Yes and they’ed get beaten by all four finalist. The Div 2 concept is just a money making scheme.

Sorry, misread and thought you were talking about them not being competitive in Div 1.
Based on what I’ve seen (pretty much every side in Div 1 and Div 2 at least 2, sometimes 3, times over 2 the past 2 years) I would’ve ordered the strength of the sides like this:

Seville & Gembrook (2022 versions)
daylight
Berwick Springs (2022)
Kinglake (2021)
Powelltown (2021)
Emerald (2022)
more daylight
Junction (2021)
Healesville (2022)
Yarra Glen (2021)
Warby (2021)
more daylight
Belgrave (2022)
Alexandra (2021)
24 hours of daylight
Yea (2021)
Broadfoard (2021)

Does Powelltown actually want to go up and have a crack at D1? Reading between the lines on hear and rumours I have heard they are more than content to win cheap flags than challenge themselves?

From my knowledge mate it’s pretty simple, no rooms & no home ground with the redevelopment of their home pavilion, so playing Div2 again as they move forward to their new facility and a crack at Div 1 in 2024
