Really promising news on the ceo appointment... strong credentials. Lets hope he can see what makes sense and that is to form two leagues, even with fixtures out for Premier and Div 1...

footyhead4567 go and read VAFA page, not spoken about too highly.
Division 2 needs to be the priority but not sure there will be any change for season 2023.
It will be a 5 team competition giving the league opportunity to cash in $$ with another 8 games (seniors and reserves) final series (plus netball as well)

Being head of the VAFA would have to be on the most high pressure, highly criticised positions. The fact he lasted 5 years says enough.

10571z fair enough. Just posted what I had read on VAFA site. Like anything I am sure people were happy with him and others not.
Either way he has a massive job to try and fix some of the issues with AFLOE, with division 2 debacle being first cab off the rank

Any word on Division 2 fixture?

Given that the new CEO starts Feb which is such poor management in it self. It’s safe to assume by the time he gets through the bullshit he’s been fed a fixture will be March. Considering the Commission and League are still peddling out garbage to clubs like talks with Kinglake are positive and more likely staying. Yea even though couldn’t get 20 players total last year and haven’t yet signed a coach will definitely have two teams. Both just bullshit.

Belgrave and Hallam will just be cannon fodder in Div 1 but have been promised they won’t have to travel over the hill. It’s pretty obvious to all that Div 1 and 2 has to be combined.

It’s clear that $$$$ is the objective not clubs long term future.

Think you’re very harsh about the timing of the commencement of the new CEO. Have you recently tried to employ someone? It’s often near impossible to find someone so kudos to the league for finding a good one. He will be a good appointment and do a really good job for the league. Sometimes it takes time to find the best appointment, better to do this than make a bad appointment and hire someone and it’s doesn’t work out.

On what forum are the commission and league saying they are in talks with Kinglake?
