Not so much that Belgrave have an agreement not to travel. Because there is no relegation from D1 - and the premise is that all the road trips are in D2 - Belgrave are effectively safe anyway from having trips to Broadford and Alex (maybe Yea again).

Where it gets interesting is if common sense prevailed and the league went to just 2 divisions - at that point they would find themselves in the same grade as the faraway teams...
It has already been announced that next season there will be 2 Divisions.

Must be incredibly frustrating for coaches with the numbers at some clubs. Would take its toll mentally as the uncertainty of who or what’s going to be at training and then committing. Hope coaches use the support around them to keep on top of it and that clubs get behind them rather than put added pressure on them. This is for both football and netball. Doesn’t matter how good a coach you are and your preparation without players you’re in trouble. Let’s look out for each other and peoples mental health.

Not sure if an official, written announcement was sent to clubs or not, but clubs have been told the plan is to have 2 Divisions and no stand alone netball clubs (e.g. Berwick, Beaconsfield) in 2024.
I hope you are correct.. It seems like it's the only logical solution.

Be surprised if anyone has been told anything definitively though and there clearly hasn't been any announcement made.

Yarra Glen zero chance to field a reserves side next week for round 1 and only 50/50 to field a seniors side. Have had less than 20 on the track at training and actively trying to recruit. The circus that is outer east football league rolls on...

Not sure where you got this info from? Yarra Glen had 35 on the track last Tuesday!

Great to see the footy back. Concerning looking at 2 teams forfeiting and one full of permit players to get over the line. Anyone heard a rumor that Wesburn JFC have been asked to officially align with a senior club? Not sure why if it is true.

Always thought they were to be honest. I’ve seen they wear Warburton jumpers in games.

They are now fully aligned I have been told.

All junior clubs have always been asked to align with a senior club so their players can be assigned as juniors for that club for player point purposes. I think Wesburn have historically nominated Warby and Yarra Junction, but not sure. I'd also like footyhead4567 to note that Yarra Glen WAS NOT one of those clubs forfeiting.

Who were the 2 clubs that forfeited.

Any reports on the games.

Emerald very impressive and will take some beating. Dave Johnson a huge pick up.

Appears a good win given Officer came down a division. Seville this week so will get another view post that. No real surprises from Premier Division last week but Woori v Monbulk will be interesting this week. Think the hawks got them at home last year. Upwey v Olinda will also be telling as to how they’ve improved.
