Surely not in this case. Every chance Bombers, Norf and Weagles are all bottom 6, bottom 4 even. Saints and Suns a chance of bottom 6 too. Cats could also be bottom half.

wonder what the stakes will be for a round 24 game against geelong at the mcg. Geelong usually pull the plug early if they are out of finals contention or if they are already locked in to finals they rest some players. Would be interesting if geelong need to win to make finals and we throw the cat amongst the pigeons

opening round is to try and get some headway into Rugby country while they're in Vegas. Richmond played at Metricon last year and I got up to see it.

I read on Twitter it’s because under the new tv rights deal Foxtel/ Kayo have the lions share of exclusive broadcast rights to Saturday night now so the AFL are shifting the marquee games away from Saturday night so ensure they still get the free to air views
Also the reason why the comp has gone Thursday night crazy
