Fighting Furies
The disappointment of missing finals in Season 22 has sent the Fighting Furies into a Qooty frenzy for first place this season. Currently trying to notch up 8 wins in a row against the Bears, it has been incredibly smooth sailing down at Punt Road with both Stars and Veterans, Youngsters and Returning Legends alike having produced some scintillating Qooty since a 3 game losing streak put the entire season in jeopardy early.
The return of Wacky Tiger from the Hawks, rfctigerarmy from retirement and This Is Anfield from the Nether have headlined a triumphant return to composed performances and mature wins from the Furies still splitting at the seams with young talent such as Season 23 rookies JackNah_8 and HumanMeatball .
2nd Year player NaturalDisaster is enjoying a breakout year on the wing, whilst Co-Captain _Cayz_ is dominating the Ruck and DreamTeam points, relishing the responsibility of the important cog in the team's performance. Three goals each from tigland and sausageroll was important for the Furies getting up, and the veterans applying the same pressure in the Forward 50 will be crucial to continuing #thestreak.
Player to Watch?
Wacky Tiger - Promoted to the Midfield early on in this undefeated run, Wacky dominated the Wolves last week to the tune of 136 DreamTeam points and more importantly for the 2 time Mobbs Medallist, 12 tackles! Expect that tackling form to continue as WT makes a last season Mobbs push.
Las Vegas Bears
You wouldn't think there would be too much celebrating going on in Vegas after a Premiership victory, but the hangover is well and truly real, the only question is whether being bat shit blind drunk helps Matera92 , Dingster and their team because results have been eclectically different from week to week.
A promotion for kane249 and Doctor Gero at the start of the season to Vice-Captain's roles has seen their Qooty and involvement around the Club rise to another level, Dr. G stepping up to fill the big boots at Full Forward of a certain outgoing ex-Captain who had worn them for so long, not doing half bad either with 37 goals for the Season.
A loss this week would square the ledger at 6-6, but due to a controversial 4 point penalty handed down by Administration a few weeks ago, Las Vegas have even less room to manoeuvre, and any more lapses in form and concentration could prove costly for the Premiership Bears hoping to achieve a historic back-to-back.
Player to Watch?
Avatarp - One of the key recruitments to Las Vegas in Season 23 was youngster Avatarp, a quality shooper currently placing first in the Bears entire posting count for the season! The Bears exciting talent is only 3 points away in total from leading Rookie team-mate, avishka5 and all rookies at the Bears for that matter, in DreamTeam points.
Who will win?
Furies by 47.
Captains please have your team sheets in by the 11.59 Thursday deadline, Cheers.
