I work I the ag industry, so I get to experience a range of Australian country towns. Some are lovely (Dalwallinu, Dongara, Koorda) - others are less so (Mullewa, Salmon Gums). Gero is okay as long as you stay in the correct hotel and know which restaurants/cafes to go to.

Best thing about Gero is the 110 km sign on the way out.
