JackNah_8 what unspeakable things are you going to do to Bonz today? This is what I nearly got out of bed for.

Sadly he couldn't afford my rates.

I could afford his though and I have to hold my tongue, if I talk about those unjust things I would cop a ban so quickly ClarkeM would have a heart attack.

Lol. At the time of the liberation of Russia, Lenin's chief administrator/bureaucrat was a bloke called Sverdlov*. Unhappily he snuffed it at an early age from Spanish Flu around 1919/20. His death was instrumental in the rise of Stalin.

* Sverdlov was also a stoic CHB in the Bolshevik Bulldusters.
I always thought the Bolsheviks went too soon on the NEP. They should have stuck with War Communism for a big longer. Lenin effectively “bottled it” after Kronstadt. I always thought the Workers’ Opposition and Bolsheviks like Alexandra Kollantai were far more interesting than Bukharin. The idea of using existing working class institutions like trade unions to advance the interests of workers and the Revolution has merit in my view. Pity about the Tenth Party Congress. The syndicalism of the Workers’ Opposition mirrors the One Big Union Movement here in Australia, which was a much forgotten but interesting attempt at fostering revolutionary economic and political change in the immediate post war period. A scheme wrecked by the reactionary Australian Worker's Union.

When you get a family member stuck in an island prison on shonky premises (hence in shonky premises on shonky premises) emotion can play a part in buggerising up your timing.
Edit: Ignore, you mean later. Thought you meant his original cracking of the shits.

Yep. QOOTY, COMEDY, SOFT BOILING AN EGG AND REVOLUTION - it’s all about timing.

I always said any form of governance can work so long as the blokes in charge have a decent head on their shoulders and isnt a prick. Capitalism, communism, even a dictatorship can be ok so long its not "evil".
The proof is right here in the Sweet FA! :)
