Official Match Thread Season 31 Round 1 - Gold City Royals vs Sin City Swamprats at The Golden Throne (MOTR)

After the destruction of their best weapon, Ant Bear's admin reign, and the loss in the latest grand final, the Swamprats, led by the evil philreich, have been hell bent on finding the Royal secret base and destroying it.

It has been set up at the Golden Throne, where after their dismantling of the Swamprats weapon, Royals hero The Filth Wizard has been practising his unique ability up forward, princess Noobz0r is now leading the Royal attacks on the Empire, and the loveable duo of Marlowe and spookism are preparing to return their overdue debt to the space crime boss GremioPower

The Swamprats scouting droids have discovered the Royals secret base, and the evil space wizard SarahSmiles has landed on the ground in an attempt to end the Royals movement once and for all. The Swamprats best units; jackster83, ant555 and Nunez are sent to barrage the shield guarding the base.

Luckily, our Royals heroes manage to escape the attack. Whilst his friends head to an unknown location to meet with a friend of Marlowe and spookism, The Filth Wizard headed off to the far realm of the Sydney Board, to meet an old master of the forward line, and friend of his past mentor Kennedy Parker.

The group has found the old friend that Marlowe spoke of, a devilishly handsome smooth talker by the name of GreyCrow. Feeling safe and secure the group is betrayed, having been beaten to the destination by SarahSmiles and the bounty hunter Hatchy1992, sensing his friends in trouble, The Filth Wizard headed to help, against the wishes of the old master of the forward line CakeEater.

Filth however, fell right into the trap of SarahSmiles. They battle for a long time before Filth is overwhelmed, with nowhere to go and no hope, what will our forward line hero do? Can he escape and save his friends? Will this be the end of the Royals movement? Will the Swamprats regain their sim dominance?

Prediction
After the defeat in the S30 Grand Final, and some nice recruits, the might of the Swamprats will be too much for the Royals, and our Forward Line hero The Filth Wizard will be overcome but a fresh Ant Bear and co.

This time last season, we were the reigning premiers, and the Royals knocked us off in round 1. So with roles reversed this time around, I think it's only fair that we return the favour on Sunday.
