hhmmm... I assume you are asking "what's up"?

As in a question... If so, up is a directional preposition, opposite to the nearest gravitational field. Typically on earth, that would be the earth thus up would be directly away from the planet you are on. However in a broader sense, the Sun is a stronger gravitational field (escape velocity on earth is 11.2 km/s, while escape from the sun's gravity at earth's distance is greater than 50 km/s. So really up would be away from the sun. So look for the sun, and poiont directly away from it and that would be up. Makes sense when you realise that if you were standing on the surface of the sun and looked up (directly away from it) you'd see the earth in the distance. So up is actually "away from the sun"
