Some people are so so stupid. My youngest son, who is 18 but in his third year at uni, (graduated school at 15 with the highest marks in the state) got asked a stupid question the other night by some moron. So we were at this poetry reading (my wife writes poetry) and after the event someone noticed the UQ mathematics department shirt he was wearing and saw how young he looked (looks younger than he is and WAY younger than his education level) and asked "What year are you in?"

He said "2021, I'm not a time traveler."

Weird response tbh. He is just a funny kid. I thought it was a funny line. Without the context it doesn't make sense. But keep on battling with your issues.

Since the story was emphasising how young your son was, not sure how it was dumb of someone to ask what year he was in at school. No issues here. Maybe you just had to be there.
