So Vindaloo is more a British-Indian thing? Much like Australia has it's Australian-Chinese thing.

Just something adapted for the tastes of the locals?
Any ethnic food that you get at restaurants is westernized for the Australian pallet. You only get authentic ethic food if you go to someone's house

Yeah, it's a bit hard to put authentic ethnic food on one of these:

(that's an Austrlalian standard pallet FYI)

I haven't spent that much time in the UK. A couple of weeks at most. But I have worked with more British than I have Australian.

The British seem to like the Indian food like we like the Chinese food. I doubt any of it is authentic though.

I have tried a local Nepalese restaurant which is very good. But have no idea on its authenticity.

It tasted good enough so I will keep going back.

Him and a handful of others have been trying that on me and the rookies since we got here. Such a tired tactic.
A fellow rookie, perhaps from a West Coast club, seems to have adapted it too.

Nah my mining days are long gone. Payed more money in electricity bills then I ever made in crypto
You actually did it?

I was more insinuating the current price for a Nvidia x70 variant card is generally 4 times what it was 5 years ago. Even with advancing tech prices and inflation MSRP should only be around $800. The cheapest ones are roughly double that in stores, if you can find them in stock.

And the bloke who sits next to me at work is pricing a new gaming PC.

I did when it was the big new thing, burnt out a fair few rx580s doing so.

I have a 3090, payed $2980 for it :drunk:
The prices will never come back down now as people just keep on buying it no matter what.

People = crypto miners. Once the industry faces regulation and the demand drops for GPUs, prices will drop and run of the mill gamers will start buying at the lower price point.
