That's the sort of plate you'd put on display in a cabinet somewhere, not really eat off of. Looks Oriental in its design. I had a plate made with my photo when I went to Langkawi back in 2007. I've never eaten off of it otherwise I'd play with my food to make my photo look inappropriate.

I've now been suckered into plate discussion

Good plates will last forever. My parents received a wedding present from my Grandad of some German made plates. This is from something like 45 years ago and they still look great.

I'm using English made knives from over 50 years ago, they have bone handles. Look after your quality stuff and it will last forever.

It truly was a joy playing against you today. We should do it more often. My stats definitely need more omgfridge time
From the leagues leading half back men transformed into a traffic cone today.

Will be a long week of review ahead.

Or drinking.

Just you. 🤣
Im not exactly partial when it comes to the Dogs.

I was glad to read through the main board game thread well after the game and find that I wasn't the only one that thought we stiff a number of times in our 50 in the last quarter

Is it just me, or are Essendon getting brutalised by umps

I don't know.

Getting back to kitchenware, who goes for Victorinox? A Swiss brand that also makes the Swiss army knife.

Victorinox are wise. They make both products with a wooden handle or a plastic handle. Of course the plastic handle is dishwasher safe.

Never put wood, bone or aluminum in a dishwasher.

I've been throwing the plastic handled Victorinox knives in a dishwasher for years and never had any problems.

I tell you what, I just had a look on eBay for what I have. It must be worth over $1000 at least.

The funny thing I think I paid nothing, or maybe $10 for the whole lot. I will admit it but about 20 years ago I was put on work for the dole. It was in one of those charity junk shops. I just saw the "made in England" bit and said I'll have that. The manager there said "you know it's just a Big W set?". I took it anyway, glad I did. Thanks Centrelink!!

Also, those junk shops empty about a skip bin a day of donations. It's just about money. Why don't they give it away?

They raise money from the sales to run shelters, helplines and such

Didn't know you were passionate about knife-throwing, ER. You should have a chat with tony.
