That's a bit unfair Rodders - that'd mean the Bombers' season would end now :).
They can go on their footy trip early… isn’t that being nice?

RAT FACTS:

Rats are mainly nocturnal and live underground. Although they vastly outnumber humans, we rarely see them. They are experts at staying out of sight!

In Baghdad we have bandicoot rats, mole rats, field mice, spiny mice, dormice, jirds and gerbils.

Legend has it that during the Gulf War a group of Baghdadi guerrilla fighters endured the desert’s searing heat, the bitterly cold nights, hellish dust storms and constant bombardment, living in dug-outs, caves, and crevasses in the town of Tikrit.

These resilient defenders did not surrender, they did not retreat. Their determination, bravery, and humour, combined with the aggressive tactics of their commanders, became a source of inspiration during some of the war’s darkest days.

In so doing, they achieved lasting fame as the “Rats of Tikrit”.

This week the Baghdad Bombers are playing in Sin City at the famous Underground Stadium.

Perhaps the most famous underground stadium in the world at present is in Zapopan, Mexico - Estadio Akron.

It’s design is based on a volcano and it was completed in 2010.

But something similar, perhaps inspired by the Mexican stadium, was built more recently (2022) in the Chinese city of Quzhou.
