The Baghdad Bombers have always looked to the heavens for inspiration.

The Tower of Babel (50 miles south of Baghdad) is an iconic reminder of the
will of the people to build a tower to the heavens to make a name for themselves.

They were able to work so effectively together that for a long time it seemed to be indeed possible.

Unfortunately, Allah saw it as an attempt to survive a second flood and therefore be out of his reach.

As retribution, he created multiple languages so they were unable to understand each another and the tower had to be abandoned.



The radios from which the tower was constructed are tuned to different stations, each in a different language.

Each Friday the locals pay homage to Babylon with offerings of music from around the globe.

I want one of them. I've got plenty of space for one. Are you allowed to have them? The people down the road have a couple of emu's, which I also want. But you'd need high fences for them.

That’s why I take them.
Muscles are a side effect.
I’m trying to reduce the size of my balls.
It shits me I can’t go buy jocks and shorts off the rack, they don’t fit.

As an aside I love To Kill A Mockingbird , and CursingFijian , Chipmunk and por_please_ya will appreciate how SCOUT was once one of my go-to 2nd words in wordle , and the joy I felt when it came up last year

It was one of our Year 9 texts for our class and I read it multiple times. It will always remind me of my late English teacher who was incredibly passionate about the story.

Cool fact - her daughter is a reasonably famous actress who named her daughter (my late teacher’s Granddaughter) Scout!

I named my dog Scout

A Hogwarts-Style library is indeed the dream but due to sponsorship issues and the rising cost of living , I’m making do with a wall full of shelves with a couple of cosy rocking arm chairs and rug.

There is a cupboard under the stairs, and a ladder to a secret attic that leads to another world though….

When I took Jezmiester40 for a tour to show him the kitchen (which is being redone) he may have gotten lost up the passage…
