I'm not sure this bold new turf is going to improve the Eagles' form.
Hey Roys and fellow Dragons,
Apologies I haven't been around much but after getting some positive news (of the spicy cough variety) for the first time, it's been a struggle.
Hoping to get better as it happens, but been a bit rough. Thanks for understanding xx
I'm sure there's a 1000 different ways you could have got it, but when in doubt, blame PMBangersHey Roys and fellow Dragons,

It sure is.Wowee just realised it's Saturday. We got through Friday unscathed!
I believe it was best chance within a 10km square radius of his house, so makes sense.I'm sure there's a 1000 different ways you could have got it, but when in doubt, blame PMBangers

“Come to bed darling Spiros. I predict you are going to make mad passionate love to a raven haired gypsy girl who looks just like me.”
Legit. Survived four years and at (most likely) a random event I just was helping out at as an extra person bang. Obviously impossible to pinpoint because could be a brief greeting a shop or something who knows.
I live pretty remote and was fairly careful when I'd go out and still got it when I did. I think it's pretty hard to avoid forever.Legit. But had a bit of a sore throat on Tuesday morning (nothing much) and was travelling to Adelaide so I didn't want to make that drive if I had it. I tested negative - and that was one of those fancy Covid/Flu ones. Then I got to Adelaide in scorching 37c heat, walked into the hotel which had the air con on, immediately had chills. Turned the heater on (while it is 37c outside) and still felt chills. Thought this isn't good, but after regulating the temp through showers I felt a bit better the next day.
Wednesday I thought ah it's probably a cold then or something as I didn't have chills any more and my throat was okay. Had to drive back when I started feeling s**t that afternoon - and continued having hiccups which set me off, shouldn't last three days. Tested Thursday morning when I felt glass/razor blades in my throat and sure enough positive.
Pretty deflating. My bout not life threatening but by god I envy those who have only had head colds. It's mostly throat - drinking water feels like spicy hot food, I can only swallow soft food or liquid, and the amount of ****** crap I'm coughing up yesterday off two hours sleep because I woke up in a hot sweat.
Anyway, that's the story before someone asks. So I don't know if this counts as day five (if the first symptoms on Tuesday but tested negative) or day three (tested positive on Thursday), but as my work can be done from home I obviously said I'd stay home till I'm 100% better because why risk it?

Yeah my wife got it while we were away in WA a couple of years back and we avoided it. She just had a head cold and felt fatigued. I haven't had that (though a bit more tired today) but just had a shocking throat. It's a real lottery of symptoms tbh with all the strains.I live pretty remote and was fairly careful when I'd go out and still got it when I did. I think it's pretty hard to avoid forever.
Experiences sure vary between people though. The first few days I was hypersensitive to pain and kinda sore all over (even putting on a cold shirt in the morning "hurt") and generally felt ran down, then after that it was real mild, barely a cold.
My partner had cold symptoms but probably faired the best out of us both, ironically, because she's less a stickler for keeping up on vitamins etc. Seems no rhyme or reason for how it affects reasonably healthy people, bit of a lottery.
This was me for the last four years prior to this week. But yeah, Covid for the first time, not fun. Everyone around me kept getting it but I avoided it. There was a small part of me thinking 'could there be some kind of immunity through natural genes?' but there's so many strains it's just a way of life. Better now than at the start.Hi Pie 4 Life ! I don't understand the reference but am I to guess its a Covid infection?
I'm thus far yet to get hit with it, despite workmates commonly getting hit. I dunno what my secret is, or how long it will last.
I am merely a computer program that creates simulated football matches so perhaps that's my secret. Lack of organic matter. This was me for the last four years prior to this week. Yeah during the pandemic once everything was opened again I tested reasonably regularly because of all the travel I did. Honestly it's pretty funny that the last month I've travelled to four different states and territories, and I caught it probably 30-40 minutes from home.Ouch.
I so far haven't had it or haven't tested positive at least.
Always had an inkling you ran on QBasic.I am merely a computer program that creates simulated football matches so perhaps that's my secret. Lack of organic matter.
