This week, we'll be putting Hawks and Phoenixes (I'm sure there's still some of you lurking around here...) through their paces with some rigourous, hotly contested match ups and comparisons.

First off, we start with the skateboard GOAT Tony Hawk and multi academy award winner, Joaquin Phoenix.

The obvious question is... who would win a fight?

So imagine this hypothetical showdown between prime Tony Hawk, the skateboarding legend, and Joaquin Phoenix, the versatile thespian.

Let's break it down:

1. Physical Fitness and Agility

Tony Hawk, in his prime, was at the peak of physical fitness. Skateboarding demands incredible balance, agility, and endurance. This would give him an edge in terms of reflexes and stamina, potentially allowing him to outmaneuver Joaquin Phoenix.

2. Training and Experience

Joaquin Phoenix is an accomplished actor known for his dedication to roles. For example, his portrayal of the Joker involved significant physical transformation and rigourous training. However, this training is more about acting skills and specific physical feats rather than the all-around athletic conditioning that Tony Hawk has. Hawk's years of experience in skateboarding competitions and dealing with high-pressure scenarios would likely give him an advantage in mental and physical preparedness.

3. Mindset and Determination

Joaquin Phoenix has shown remarkable mental toughness and commitment to his craft, transforming himself for various roles. However, Tony Hawk's career is built on pushing physical limits and overcoming fear, whether attempting new tricks or recovering from injuries. This relentless drive and resilience could be crucial in a fight scenario, giving Hawk the determination to prevail.

So, while both are incredibly skilled and determined individuals, Prime Tony Hawk would outmaneuver Joaquin Phoenix with his razor-sharp agility, relentless endurance, and unbreakable mindset. No contest. Game, set, match - Hawk takes the win. 🛹💥

Seeing the Tony Hawke doc where he’s trying to do a 1080 and stacking all the frigging time was hard to watch.

Is it hypocritical of Sweet's preeminent food critic to sell his own low-quality knock off food?
Are you responsible for this?

Alright, since you've asked nicely, I shall give you my wisdom.

Disclaimer: I'm not having a go at por_please_ya , she can like whatever songs she wants, if anything I'm having a go at spud.

Right, so, I used to think there were 2 types of songs: Jury Bait and Tele Bait. Jury Bait is usually a slow ballad that old music critics like listening to because it reminds them of a time when it used to be about the music and the emotion and the vocals that you just don't get nowadays. Tele Bait is typically some pop song that's more about how the staging is the zaniest, craziest, quirkiest thing when compared to all the other songs that have come before it and it's that part that you remember but nothing about the song itself.

Since joining the league's official Discord server, however, I've learnt about a lesser-known 3rd type of song: Porps Bait. A song that's specifically tailored to what porps likes. It wasn't until I started listening to music with other people that I realised that there was always a song that was prime porps bait and it's time, spud, that you learn what these songs sound and look like.

Here we have 3 songs that best exemplify what porps bait is:

spud, your job is to listen to these and figure out the pattern that makes these prime examples of porps bait.

Bah. There have been no decent songs in the Eurovision Song Contest, and indeed no decent songs from Continental Europe, since the 1989 release of Belgian techno anthem Pump Up The Jam.

Which ties into the theme of knock-offs and rip-offs because I found out that The Who tried to copy the genius that is Technotronic!
