I dont think the two really need to be exclusive. In fact, I'd guess than many persons of royalty are barking to some degree.

I'd be even more sure that in the canine world, royalty is definitely barking... especially when the postman arrives.

Why do we say that some people are bananas? In the same vein as the colour orange vs the fruit... which came first? The banana, or someone being bananas?

Bonkers is nice too.

Have you ever played conkers, PG? I tried once but failed to thread string through the conker before getting bored.
Conkers.

I suddenly have this vision of you growing up in the UK and being sent from London to the country to avoid the Blitz where you live with three other boys under the care of a stern reverend who shaves all of your heads to avoid the spread of ringworm.

The reverend was quite caring, actually.

Loved to paint landscapes and make soup on a Sunday afternoon.

Did you eat the soup or drink it?

Supplies were low so we had to make do with sticks fashioned into forks.

Character building, PG. Character building.

Of course I can't look at a turnip without thinking of splinters these days, PG.

King Charles Cavalier comes to mind.

Profligate is quite a nice word.

You have to concentrate saying it because for your mouth to form all the syllables you have to do a U-turn part way through

Not to be confused with prolific or perforate... which is what I did.

I also like the word lofty.

To use it in a sentence one could say "The Mount Buller Demons will be reaching lofty new heights once they batter the absolute carrots out of the East Side Hawks."

I’ve not tried a battered carrot before.

Well it's lucky we will be battering carrots come Sunday. Certainly not parsnips though. That would be astonishingly bizarre and out of context.

Speaking of context, it's at times like this when I think back to the start of this Sweet FA season and my post count was approximately 3,000 numerically higher than my reaction score.

The gap has been reducing at quite an astonishingly quick rate over the last two months. Equilibrium is in sight, and at this rate may well be achieved within the next month or so.

Thank you for taking time to read this post. Reactions are welcomed, but not expected.

Segue. Also a very interesting word. Very interesting. I don't know how I feel about it, PG. But if you were to say "cats, I really need you to tell me how you feel about it" I would pause before responding with "Cautious, PG. Cautious"

Cautious. Now that's a strange word the more you look at it. Why the need for so many vowels? It feels very unbalanced.

Peripheral is another good word.

And a very good morning to my fabulous Buller comrades and hello Hawks!

Yes, another Wednesday. One filled with the fun of going to the markets, of conversation, laughter and quaffing.

Whatever you do today, do it with a sense of taste.

That is very limiting when various other senses can collaborate with taste resulting in explosion of enjoyment, but nonetheless you have never led me astray with your morning directions so I am quite happy to be blindfolded and earplugged for the remainder of the day.

I was actually going to clean my loo today so would rather not?

Oh I see.

So we only care about what everyone else is getting up to today? No one wants to know about poor old Tarks?
Okay, I’ll bite.

What do you have planned for the day, Tarks. No need to repeat the toilet thing, I’ve made a note of it.

I’ll be wrangling a ten month old for most of today, and being a domestic goddess the rest.

Thank you for enquiring PG.
