I buy a lot more books than I read but least I'll always have something on the horizon.

Vinyls are another one of my vices, have a pretty extensive collection, add a few every month. I at least own a record player but admittedly even when home, streaming music is a bit easier.

This arrived today. It came out a few years ago and I'd been meaning to get it, but as the limitation was 500 I thought I'd missed out. Couldn't believe it when I saw a new copy on Discrepency Records.

I collect lovely editions of books from a UK store; I get the limited editions which are often around $1k (I think the most expensive one I own is Shakespeare's Complete Plays, limited run of 1000 off the top of my head, cost $2.5k not including postage). Even the normal editions are $100+. But literature is my passion, and I like owning them. Never mind a lot of them are still in their boxes as I have nowhere to put them until I get a bigger place...

That sounds like my book collection; admittedly most of them have minimal actual resale value.

I have purchased second hand copies of many of John Marsden’s novels. I had an obsession with his “diary style” writing when I was like 12. I think I re-read “So Much To Tell You” & “Letters from the Inside” at least once a year.

Most of my reading is done using either ebooks, audiobooks or what I borrow from the library. My “home library” very rarely gets touched

I've got a few with the limited runs which of some smaller bands I really enjoy. Always a nice surprise when they finally rock up as by time the vinyl finally is released, I'd usually forgotten I ordered it.
