This weekend's SANFL will be very interesting, looks like Walker has kicked 5 so he has to come in. He could fill Burrton's shoes

Hopefully Jericho has a half decent game for Norwood and can come in for Porps

Griffin I would loose back to SANFL and bring in Sellar as HF target. He can provide that third ruck (197cm same as Maric basically) and allow for Tippett and Maric to switch between ruck and FF.

Others of interest will be Moran, wonder if Gill fires but I doubt as he just isn't fit enough at the moment, Otten may come in for Campbell but seeing it was his first game I would leave him.

So I would have Tippett, Walker and Douglas deep forward. Edwards, Sellar and Jericho at HF.

For all the Sellar haters, lets give him a crack, he will get game time unlike at Glenelg and showed he can work during the NAB

He has got the ability to be a really good key forward, the fact is he is in a side (Glenelg) that has 3 really good forwards and rucks so he doesn't break in. I know people will say that if he was good he would be playing but look at other players that struggled to get a spot in sides due to personnel but excelled at other clubs, Thomas can't break into Port's side but he is quality, Porps couldn't get games with Adelaide or other clubs but finally got through and excelled.

Basically what can it hurt to play Sellar now and develop him, we have no HF options at all, Walker is too small, if he does nothing then its about the same as our current HF's

There is a good chance Sellar and Jericho will come in. SANFL form is largely irrelevant.

On form Walker should come in but it is just a matter of whether they think his body is ready for the AFL. I don't know that it worth the risk for this season.

Funny thing is Sellar is probably closer to a game than Walker in NC's mind and he's already made his debut earlier as well.

At any other club in the AFL walker would of debut by now, but not the AFC, we will take the slow and safe approach

Probably would have got a game for every team except the top 3 anyway.

If he doesn't play next week I doubt he will be playing this year unless we get even more injuries.

We are like minded. Walker and Jericho are obvious but why not sellar, he can't do worse than Griffin and either swap maric and Tippett between forward and ruck or just have them in ruck.

NC, yes Tippett will be good as a forward but at the moment he is the lone target so he gets hammered, his confidence is crap and he clearly wants to play more ruck where last week he did alright.

Play Sellar, he can lead and read as a forward, play Walker he's a gun and play Jericho. If Campbell goes out Otten should come in, maybe Mackay if he has a good one this weekend

Walker has to come in. At some point you have to reward such outstanding performances. Who else is there anyway?

Our best forward down with a probable career ending injury. Our second best probably gone for the year too.

We were in desperate need of goals before todays very dark day. Even more so now.

Walker is a proven goalkicker. That's the reality. Defensive pressure lacking or not, he kicks goals. He's just one of those players. Natural footballer. Instinctive. Great kick.

Reserves game by Sellar doesn't mean a hell of a lot but playing him for the second half of the year will certainly set him up for 09. I think most will agree we have no CHF, when mopving out of defense it just breaks down forward of the wing. For that reason Sellar would be a good in, I would like to see Jericho playing up the field as well as he plays the wing well.

Walker down front wirth Tippett and Jericho roving around with Douglas, its the forward future for the club.

Burton and Porplyzia are definite outs.

IMO Campbell must go with them - he is not an AFL player and never will be.

Jericho will get Burton's role as he has in the past IMO and I would bring in Mackay for Campbell.

Then comes the $64 question. Do we bring in Walker for Porps or do we settle for experience in Gill.

I know every-one is anxious to bring Walker in and have a look at him at AFL level, but it would be a huge ask to expect very much from him when making his debut in a Show-down - one which I think will be every bit as tough as the last one.

Personally I would go with Gill, because he is more seasoned at this level, although I'll be excited as anybody if Walker gets the nod.

As for Sellar, I just can't see him playing SANFL reserves one week and AFL the next.

Personally I am sick of hearing about the crap that we shouldnt play Walker because he isnt ready or it might hurt his development. He has stepped up to every level he has played. At the start of the year some said he would play Norwood reserves. Well hes stepped up to be a leading forward in the SANFL.

We currently dont have a forward line, we lost the only 2 forwards we had. Walker is the only one in the SANFL kicking goals for us, do we reward guys like Gill for shit SANFL form? Hell we just dropped Gill and Jericho, they havent done anything since they went back so now we promote them??? Craig has always said he will not place limitations on his recruits, well if he doesnt play Walker now with good SANFL goal kicking form, is that just a cliche?
