Saturday September 6th (5:40pm)
Heath looks likely to play.
Aaron Young hurt his foot, Byrne-Jones has a concussion both apparently will play.

SANFL League Finals qualification
• No qualification criteria for AFL listed players during the SANFL finals series when the PAFC is still involved at AFL level.
• Should the PAFC not be involved at AFL level, a player must have played the majority of his Football at SANFL level, or 3 of the last 5 games at SANFL level to qualify.

So Jarman Impey will not be eligible if we are eliminated from AFL finals as he has only played two games for the Magpies.

Possibly. Does anyone know if the 3rd game of the last 5 (or for that matter a game that could tip the player's balance of having played more SANFL than AFL games) could come in the finals or is it limited to the minor round only? If so, would availability during the byes in the finals series at SANFL level count as well?

Don't forget people that if you are an Essential Power member you can get in for free to this game - have a look on the rear of your EP member's pass and see the numbers 1,2,3 and 4 and the letters A, B, C and D in little boxes - one lot of these gets you in to 4 SANFL minor round games for free and the other gets you into the SANFL finals for free (unsure if that includes the GF though). I did ring the club a couple of weeks ago about this and confirmed the above but I forgot to ask if it also covers the SANFL GF - I suggested to our membership dept that they might like to email/contact Essential Power members re this matter because, for example, only 2 of our group of 5 EP members knew about it.

Watched a bit of the Sturt v Norwood game today at Addy oval , gotta say I was impressed by the skill level / standard of play and desperation shown, a great game I thought . Hope we don't take thinks lightly next week

do we set up tents in the parklands, get several cartons, and make it a lengthy double header....
probably not, but back to back finals at the oval will be huge

Back to the future: just go to Rio's - or whatever it's called these days - and do the ol' step out of the dive into morning sunlight...

Has the SANFL announced the times for the Semi Finals? I can't see anything on their website or their facebook page.
PAFC Maggies twitter said we might find out tonight. If not, perhaps tomorrow.

On the SANFL show tonight, they seemed to suggest possible times were 2:40 and 5:40pm, and pretty sure they hinted that the Port Norwood game could be first. They stressed this was not confirmed however.

Just curious, how many both on here and more generally will make a double header of this weekend? Not that I am a supporter of either side, would just be a shame to see a Port Norwood final with a small Magpies turn out, so am hoping this doesn't happen! Weather looks perfect at this stage!

What show was that? me and about 4 or 5 of my mates will doing the double header for sure!

Dunno about the double-header?

Back when it was in vogue in the 80s, I can't ever remember staying for both games.

There was one double-header where I had every intention of staying for both games: Port v Sturt and Central v North at Footy Park in '88.

But then Sturt gets up by a point, I crack the sads and go home.

Last game we lost that year...
