cant wait for Saturday, feel reasonably confident. Also cant wait for the release of the team later today, think there might be the odd melt
If our match committee stick to type there will be minimal changes so I'm tipping >

Outs- Dan McStay, Jaxon Prior.

Ins- Connor Ballenden, Callum Ah Chee.

Oh dear.

Unfortunately not much of a stretch to think Saturday night could be played in front of no crowd and SE QLD goes into lockdown again.

The AFL will surely move it to a neutral venue that can hold a crowd if that's the case?

Here's a scenario for you for tomorrow. Let's say they announce 2 cases in QLD, 3 cases in SA, 1 case in WA and 1 in Tasmania in the coming week.

where are you going next ? NT ?

Have they suspended ticket sales?
Because if they haven’t, I would presume that it is proceed as planned, for now.

Lets hope not for this Sat: Also think there are some infected truck drivers that drove into parts of SA, would not take much to restrict crowds for scheduled Prelim in Adelaide or even move it to Perth.

Still selling, but have an additional note now as part of purchase.
Also I don't seem to be able to select seats anymore. Guessing very few tickets left.

Jason mp , just my guess but thinking a little different

Outs-Gardner, McStay, Prior, Fullerton???
Ins-Ah Chee, Lester, Ballenden??? reckon Lions are being cagey but you would think Ballenden comes in, as Charlie and Zorks mentioned him during the week. I reckon probably Payne at back with Lester playing forward IF Gardner out.

In that instance, the game would be played at the Gabba in front of no crowd.

If the above scenario occurs in GF week and those states shut down, I imagine the GF would just be played at the MCG without a crowd.

We'll let you in, I have no doubt! :D

I actually think that's the most likely outcome at this stage. NSW & Victoria hit 80% vaccinations & open the borders to each other. If that's mid October, hopefully the warmer weather is a factor too & the ICU's aren't overwhelmed.

I have quite a few friends who own their own businesses on the GC & they are really struggling with the borders to the rest of the country being closed. Commerce is probably not as tourist driven in Brisbane though.

Edit: and just so this isn't a derail, hope there is no lockdown in SEQ before the weekend & hope you all get to go to the game & pack the stadium. Probably should be fine though, if it has taken this long for the positive test to come back from the truck driver who was tested on the 28th of August then the shit won't hit the fan till after the weekend ;)

Wish we were playing GWS. Don't think they can win a final without Toby - he's a big game player. As well as a douchebag.

Nah I'm good with Dogs. If we are good enough, we'll win.

I also like our prelim chances against Port compared to Dees.

All these WA grand plans could go to bin if there are any cases in Grand final week. McGowan will shut door as usual. It is what it is.

Looking forward to the team sheets being released this evening.

Interested to see which umpires are lining up for the Doggies this week.

Should've run with an option for a holographic crowd when they ticked off the design.

Apologies if the technology doesn't exist yet for that. Better than tarps over the grandstand though.
