The first quarter was like watching Fos Williams' Port against Jack Oatey's Sturt.

But we lifted in the second quarter and controlled a fair stretch, another goal or two would have been nice.

The HTB interpretation is infuriating. Hawthorn players are getting tackled and literally throwing the ball away and called play on. I realised finally that if you make the mistake of attempting a disposal and not getting it away you're gone.

I’m not being facetious here. Is there a bespoke rule in AFLW where you’re allowed to fling the ball rather than dispose of it when you’re tackled?

Hawthorn has done it three times so far, and nobody has batted an eyelid.

I reckon it's just ratshit Parklands umpiring. I see every time I watch a game for more than 5 minutes.

The umpiring standard should be way better than the playing standard, ie use AFL or AFL fringe umpires, but they won't.
