Bolton.

If Carlton don't get him we should.
Why? What do you like about him?

Have only heard from him when he had that stint as senior coach....my gut feing then was that this bloke doesn't come across as a senior coach.

Small, funny voice and never played AFL... Would struggle to get respect from playing group I think.

Because he's at Hawthorn and Hawthorn have won lots and lots of footy games and when he was coaching Hawthorn when Clarko was sick he didn't lose so he must be an awesome coach.

Obviously you put the call in to Bolton but I can't see him leaving Hawthorn, even if he does have senior coaching aspirations he'll get the opportunity at Hawthorn if he hangs around long enough.

I wonder how Neale Daniher rates any of the assistants he's worked with over the journey, his endorsement would almost put them front of the line.

Need a coach who's had experience across a few different AFL clubs imo, I think Bolton has only had experience with Hawthorn at AFL level.

Seriously. Our biggest issue has been our offensive side of the game. Bolton is in charge of the best offensive game plan in the league. That alone should put him at the head of the queue.

This.

Time and time again, we are proven that good offendive sides win the premiership over highly defensive teams.

I'd be very happy with someone like Bolton.

How about Dew?

Bolton, used to be my PE teacher.
After looking back at my PE reports today, might be in with a shot on the list!

Yet the current coach is one of the five greatest Essendon players of all time, with two flags, a brownlow, & norm smith medal and a business degree yet produces the current rubbish that isn't even fit for local footy.

Good point. I imagine coming to the Bombers after spending time at the Hawks would go something like this:

There's more to his appeal than that.

Regarding Roos, if the Dees had gotten over the line against St Kilda and us, both games they could have won then they would look a stronger side.

Yeah/nah.

They are defiantly way more competitive but they still lose the odd game by big margins their gap between their best and worst is still wide imo although their drafting and recruiting has certainly been better under Roos.
