Alright, here are the final rules of the tipping comp.

- Have to pick the margin for the first game of the round (as shown in the Fixture section of the AFLQ website). Margin will be used to determine winner in the event of a draw at the end of the year
- If you pick the right team and the exact winning margin you get a two point bonus
- If you tip all the winners in a round you get a two point bonus.
- If you don't get your tips in you will automatically get the lowest score of the round minus 1 point.

In so far.

With all the bemoaning on the NEAFL page re how stupid the "competition" is (well I've never worked out how anyone expects either the Suns and esp the Lions to be beaten when they are fair dinkum), and appreciate the standard of footy in the AP comp is a rung below the NEAFL but we have a real competition in Div 1 which is far more fun and satisfying imo..:)

Plenty of love for Mayne, that is good to see!

Right, everyone who has jumped in is in. smy1305, roger that! and Stuyd you gotta pick your margin.

Brings up a new rule though:

- If you don't pick a margin your margin will automatically be 1 point

Cheers

It's been a long pre-season, really looking forward to this weekend and the season. Good luck to all teams in having a greater sprited season. Big good luck to Uni for there first season in Div 1.

agree, i do like the standard of the NEAFL to watch as well as AP Cups traditional footy clubs and tribalism (that doesnt mean all ins every game). i plead to the clubs to stick with recruiting 2 or 3 players from interstate etc and fill your team with locals. be patient with your local kids as when you win a GF with 80% + locals it will be more satisfying then 20% locals.

Burleigh 18s pulled the pin for the year..:( Disappointing but there seems to be a glut of teams at the southern end of the coast and must be hard to compete for (playing) resources

few teams struggling to hang around due to the ridiculous demands coming out of AFLQ in regards to the amount of volunteers every club needs, despite paying AFLQ for services they end up providing themselves for volunteers.

What do you mean Thommo? I agree that there needs to be some assistance but in what area?
