Favourite Team to Gatecrash: Baghdad Bombers (159 posts)
Other Teams Gatecrashed: Las Vegas Bears (137 posts), Fighting Furies (121 posts), West Coast Wonders (80 posts), Dragons FFC (78 posts), Mt. Buller Demons (75 posts), Gumbies FFC (52 posts), Gold City Royals (52 posts), Sin City Swamprats (21 posts), East Side Hawks (16 posts), Roys FFC (15 posts)
So here we are with the big reveal. NaturalDisaster is the #1 Gatecrasher in the SFA so far this season. How has he done it? He may have the second most number of invasive posts behind Metalcrusher, but over the first nine rounds ND managed to crash 35 out of the 45 non-Warriors match threads; an incredible effort to spread his sharp wit and happy demeanor across the site. Once again a note: ND is a sim poster, and he posted sims in 12 matches over those rounds. Only once did he manage to keep under the fifteen post threshold established at the start of this project. Was this due to a desire to add tension to the end of a close sim? Let's have a closer look at each thread to find out what he's been up to in his journeys.
Round 1 SCS/GCR, 3 posts: Posted the OP, then crashed the thread later on to promote his tipping competition. Round 1 WON/DRA, 8 posts: Posted the OP, then crashed the thread later on to promote his tipping competition. He then tagged manangatang into the thread to talk about badges, and then reappeared uninvited the following day to try and convince AceAndy to step down as Dragons captain. Round 1 BOM/FUR (sim posted), 75-15=60 posts: Posted the OP, then crashed the thread later on to promote his tipping competition. Took 11 posts to play out the sim. The remainder of his posts were Gatecrashing 101: starting off by calling WaynesWorld19 a muppet as he looked to get involved in the Wayne/Elton Johns Wig argument, which he did quite successfully. He riled up TheCoach16, The Half Back, miggs and TJASTA, and made sure to hypocritically call out Metalcrusher for Gatecrashing the thread himself. Called AceAndy "BoomerAndy" and seemingly created the BoomerAndy account a couple of days later (whose 18 posts probably should be added to his tally). A few mod posts were rolled out after the Bombers were naughty.- Round 1 DEM/LVB (sim posted), 57-15=42 posts: Posted the OP and took 11 posts to play out the sim. The remaining 45 posts involved mocking new rookie guero's name, an unprompted chat with Proper Gander about the Richmond board, and a prolonged discussion with manangatang about thread naming conventions. Then Metalcrusher and _Cayz_ got fired up so ND niggled them a bit. He was all over this thread, with posts on six separate days over the week.
Round 1 ROY/GUM, 4 posts: Posted the OP, and for some reason didn't promote his tipping competition to these two teams. He did decide to have a conversation with Barrybran about the Tittybong Cup a few days later though.
Round 2 LVB/WON, 1 post: Responded to a Grand Uncle Horace tag. Round 2 GUM/DEM, 2 posts: Responded to a Dero tag. Round 2 GCR/ROY, 1 post: Crashed the thread to try and talk about Harris Andrews with 3KZ is Football. No bite.
Round 3 DEM/GCR, 15 posts: Responded to a Proper Gander tag and then took that as an opportunity to tag manangatang for a mod chat. To ensure that their chat was uninterrupted ND locked the thread for several hours. This did not go down well. He reappeared uninvited the following day to mock CakeEater for Freo's loss to Carlton. Round 3 LVB/GUM, 24-15=9 posts: Riled up Bears players Muddiemoose, Metalcrusher and Test Tickle for a few posts, then laughed with beez about Barrybran's captaincy. Took 11 posts to play out the sim. Round 3 BOM/DRA, 39* posts: Just a reminder that ND deleted 50-60 of his posts from this thread on the Sunday evening as he was nearing triple figures. They are not included in this tally. He appeared on the Thursday after complaints about moderator inaction in the thread and never left. Most of it seemed to be to spite TheCoach16 after he told ND to fu** off, combined with a "boring" adjacent CIW/WON thread. He threated to threadban AceAndy several times due to Rebecca Black. He threatened to ban Matt_352 for calling him a campaigner. He banned BoomerAndy from the thread due to Rebecca Black, then denied that it was his alt. He joined in Kilroy's TubeRadio event. He had a tiff with fellow Gatecrasher CakeEater, and then mocked the Dockers in a shameful display. He then finished it off by admitting he was a shameless spammer. Pure unadulterated Gatecrashing this one.
Round 4 DRA/SCS (sim posted), 12-12=0 posts: The entire sim posted, signed, sealed and delivered in 12 posts. See this NaturalDisaster? It's possible!!!! Round 4 GCR/LVB, 23 posts: Responded to a soft tag from @Metcrusher comparing him to Blacky. Appeared the next day after CakeEater claimed Noobz0r had similar music taste to him. Was then tagged later on by Muddiemoose, which led to some discussion about the Song Contest. Then crashed the thread uninvited to laugh at Test Tickle's melts with the statement "I can post here whenever I want". Posted in this thread on six separate days across the week. Round 4 GUM/WON (sim posted), 45-15=30 posts: Posting the sim in this thread took 33 posts, including 25 just for the 4th quarter. The final margin of seven points surely didn't warrant this unnecessary grandstanding? On top of that at least half a dozen extra posts were to tell ClarkeM that he was a crybaby.
Round 5 ROY/DRA, 2 posts: Barged in uninvited after philreich called the Warriors dull. Round 5 LVB/FUR (sim posted), 53-15=38 posts: Crashed the thread without a tag whilst claiming that his own match thread against the Swamprats was too boring. Ned_Flanders told him to fu** off, but ND hung around to harass TJASTA and The Half Back. TheCoach16 was in there too for some reason, and ND had a chat to him about posting private PMs. Two Gatecrashers conversing: a big transgression there! Eventually posted the sim, which took 14 posts although he had some technical issues along the way. Round 5 WON/BOM (sim posted), 45-15=30 posts: Responded to a Kilroy tag and took that as an opportunity to niggle KohPhi. He returned later in the week to participate in Kilroy's TubeRadion spamathon where he posted about a dozen YouTube clips. Posting the sim on the Sunday took 11 posts, with a few extra posts about ClarkeM being a sook thrown in.
Round 6 DEM/DRA, 7 posts: Responded to a soft tag from manangatang about the Richmond board, and belittled Proper Gander for not tagging him any more. Round 6 SCS/BOM, 9 posts: A very high level Gatecrash here. He arrived on the Tuesday to announce he was about to post the sim, which managed to trigger cadsky, Antonio BlueVein and CALL ME SNAKE successfully. Reappeared to try and win cadsky's quiz later in the week. Then crashed the thread a third time to suck up to ArdentEagle. Round 6 LVB/ESH, 5 posts: Responded to a Muddiemoose tag, and then hung around for a bit to talk about Kit Kats with Loonerty.
Round 7 DRA/LVB, 28-15=13 posts: A solid 28 posts in this thread, which kicked off after a AceAndy request for a trio of Bears to threadbanned was denied. He crashed the thread a couple of days later to do a 5 minute countdown for reasons unknown, then reappeared once more on the Sunday morning to argue with Millky95 about when the game should be posted. It only took him 11 posts to submit the sim plus a couple of mid-sim jokes about dog walking and urination. Round 7 FUR/GCR, 6 posts: Crashed the thread uninvited to annoy JackBero on the Monday, who in turn tagged him back in later that week. Round 7 WON/SCS, 2 posts: Responded to a soft tag from ClarkeM, and mocked him about simping a couple of days later. Round 7 ESH/GUM (sim posted), 17-15=2 posts: Only posted the sim, but a lecture on time zones and threats of urination and dog walking pushed it past the fifteen post limit.
Round 8 GUM/DRA, 5 posts: Crashed the thread to announce when the sim would be posted. The time was incorrect and he did not post the sim. He then mocked AceAndy for washing his walls with sugar soap. Round 8 ROY/SCS, 1 post: Crashed the thread to announce when the sim would be posted. The time was incorrect and he did not post the sim. Round 8 DEM/BOM, 8 posts: Responded to a Pugsley tag, then reappeared a few days later when Callums_Guns asked if he was posting the sim; took seven posts to say "no". Round 8 FUR/WON, 6 posts: Responded to a Grand Uncle Horace tag, then reappeared a few days later uninvited to to rile up TJASTA and ClarkeM.
Round 9 DRA/GCR (sim posted), 19-15=4 posts: He crashed the thread early in the week to promote his mid-season survey, tell stories about walking his dog, and take a crack at poor GreyCrow. Took ten posts to fire out the sim. Round 9 WON/ROY (sim posted), 18-15=3 posts: Crashed the thread to promote his mid-season survey. Took ten posts to fire out the sim. The rest was banter with ClarkeM and SSwans2011 in the half time break after 4 minutes of the sim went missing. Round 9 SCS/DEM, 1 post: Crashed the thread to promote his mid-season survey. Round 9 BOM/LVB, 6 posts: Crashed the thread to promote his mid-season survey. He then returned later in the week to chat to Kilroy and Metalcrusher about his admin campaign. Then he returned a third time to lay down some mod advice after the Bombers did something illegal. Round 9 FUR/ESH, 2 posts: Crashed the thread to promote his mid-season survey and claim he was better once he left the Furies. What is quite evident here is that ND will respond to any tag. Even if the tag is just referencing him, he still takes it as an invite to issue his 2 cents. The fact that he can't resist responding to tags only serves to encourage everyone to tag him even more; most people on this list get tagged by one or two serial offenders, but ND gets tagged by nearly half the league. If anything I believe ND enjoys the tags as he's able to build his relevance in the SFA, and be involved into as many league dramas as possible.
There is also no evidence that ND's sim posting inflated his Gatecrashing numbers. Unless he makes jokes about dog walking or is carrying on about the kick-off time he comfortably finishes it in less than fifteen posts. You could argue his mod role causes him to get involved more, but the other mods all manage to keep their dealings private.
All in all, NaturalDisaster is comfortably the number one Gatecrasher in the SFA this season. What is to be done about this you may ask? I fear that this problem is beyond saving.

You just crash threads because your parents didn't give you enough attention as a child. He invades EVERY match thread EVERY week to announce when the game will be posted as well as make himself more affable with the SFA community.

Well done campaigner. Now that is how you gatecrash.
Fortunately for the SFA TheInjuryFactory has taken prompt action and sent me to gatecrashers anonymous. Its working quite well so far, this week I have only gatecrashed one thread for one post, the Dragons thread only because i was shocked to see Ljp86 (who tagged me) taking shots at posters.
Santoz Tony Lynn 15 trying to ruin my record by luring me into their dogsh*t match thread with extremely obvious bait. Not today gentlemen.
