State of Origin Series XVIII Round 2: Vic Metro v Allies @ Melbourne Cricket Ground

In this thread you have:
  • conceded two major points to me about Hall of Fame and simmer abuse
  • accused me of being self-interested and pushing my own agenda without giving any examples
  • made some bizarre points about the committee not voting enough on the All SFA as though its essential to what we are talking about

I acknowledge you as an embarrassment to Vic Metro.
Not just to vic metro.

Imagine liking Ben Stokes.

I mean, that is akin to liking the Allies' horrible jumper. Or pineapple on pizza.

I don't like Stokes but I like the other two. Guess that says something about me as a person.

I like Ben Stokes (or ben chod, if you will) for the fact that he gets under the skin of every Australian cricket supporter
I don't hate Ben Stokes, I hate the way our bowlers bowl to him. At least he has ability to back up shit he says.

Of the current English team Robinson definitely the biggest ****head imo.
And Harry Brook is a disgrace to test cricket, the sooner we see the back of that baseball slogger the better for the game.

How's Ollie Robinson and Jonny Bairstow going for you these days?
Robinson is hilarious. All mouth and back spasms.

And Bairstow's below par keeping is one of the major reasons why we are 2-0 up.

Nothing wrong with the Allies jumper, it's got charm.

I resent the fact that I'm visiting my British pals while the Ashes are going on. Everyone I meet automatically assumes I like cricket, and I've had to bluff my way through a lot of conversations with strangers before admitting that I hate it.

Do any of them like Wrestling?

By the end of current test match I doubt they'll be talking about it for awhile so you won't need to worry.

yes yes yes.gif

... for me its one of the more boring games ever invented...
though I do recall going to a game at the SCG many years back that I really enjoyed - but I am sure that was more about all the drinking on The Hill with friends...

Next time somebody asks, you should say that Australia deserve to be 2-0 up and Bairstow should learn to stay in his crease.

Maybe film it as well, the reactions would be something fun.

100% agreed on all points.

Geez, it would have been many years back. The last time I went to the SCG would have been 1987 and there wasn't much hill left then.

Waitaminit, isn't it around 3:30am for you nutjobs? Shouldn't you be either passed out drunk, or seeking to relieve your blueballs about now?

Prescient post which explains my absence. About 10 minutes after you posted that, I did indeed collapse on a couch. We ran out of gin and moved to a couple of bottles of red wine. I love wine, but it hates me in return hence my general seediness today 🙃

It's good you like a thug who kicks the crap out of people in the street and is too stupid to realise there are security cameras to film it. Typical.

To have an embarrassment would suggest we have some kind of self-respect.
