Its gotten to the point of stupidity surely? If I was an away team id just refuse to play. Why send players over given the cost of flight/accomodation and put in the effort knowing you have LITERALLY no chance whatsoever of winning. May aswell stay home. Either that or send over the youth side for some much needed experience

TBH Im beginning to think maybe the WWE should send over some referees. Atleast when they fix results it looks believable

It's not the fact that Arsenal were away that they got the bad decisions.

It's because they were playing Barcelona.

So the bad decisions that went against us in the first leg were because we were playing Arsenal?

They were irrelevant to the tie. Do people remember the guy who dropped the mark in the first qtr of the grand final costing his side a point or do they remember the guy who kicked it out of bounds from 30m out to lose by a point? Which stuff up was more important in the overall context of the match?

This argument to me is like claiming a splinter is the same as a kick to the crutch. You should of had 1 goal extra, but also should of had 1 or 2 players sent off anyway so its kind of a one eyed argument as it is

You hadn't noticed the trend? This season, last season, even in the final a few years ago we had Eto'o's goal wrongfully disallowed and Arsenal only scored from a free kick after a complete dive from Eboue.

Arsenal = mafia :mad:

Then why bother continuing the argument. What's done is done. Decisions go your way, others don't. People always seem to remember the ones that do favour us than the ones that don't. It's like "United and those referees", "SAF and extra time", "Drogba and something"...

All perceptions people keep pissing and moaning about.

This has to be the WORST post in the history of the world.

So because they happened in the first leg they were irrelevant?

Your analogy is pathetic because while people will remember the guy who kicked it out from 30m out, had the guy not dropped the mark in the first quarter they would have won anyone.. Neither is more important as BOTH could have changed the outcome of the game.

Seriously, think before you post. I just can't believe someone said that a decision is less 'relevant' because it happened earlier.

Because its like the 5th time in a row this has happened. If it was a one off event or something that occurs once every now and then we would let it go but when it becomes a monthly event you have to point the finger, acknowledge it and question why it continues to happen.

Im pretty sure if in the AFL Dustin Fletcher kicked the first goal of 10 games in a row from defense people would raise a eyebrow or two about its legitimacy and that is all thats happening here.

We expect abnormal events but we dont expect frequent abnormality.

Less revelant BarcaRulz. Complete irrelevance comes by you ignoring the throat patting antics of some of your players. You should of had 1 goal at the Emirates but you also should have had 1 or 2 players sent off. Something that probably evened itself out over the match

WTF are you on about? A terrible comparison. Ramble on more Embers. It's a great Led Zeppelin song but **** me give it up.

Don't pretend like FIFA/UEFA didn't want Barcelona to go through.

Your point being? That they helped us? Not much help when they don't give us a PK in the first leg, a PK in the second leg, and rule a legitimate goal as offside.. Worst helpers ever!

They are not less relevant as they would have impacted the game greatly changing both ties. As far as I saw one of our players touched RVP on the neck, he should have been yellow carded as RVP got a yellow card for purposely hitting Alves in the face..

And it's not just one goal at the Emirates, it is also two very legitimate PK calls over two legs.

My claims more to do with match fixing than spot fixing true but regardless can you atleast acknowledge the continued favorable decisions you have had in the past 5 years?

Michael Jacksons nose was more legitimate than the Messi "penalty kick". Lucky not to be booked for a dive in all honesty

No one will do that because we have had as much shit go against us too. No one seems to mention that though.

Once again. You have completely missed my point. You, and others, are focusing on the decisions that have gone our way (just like how Man Utd seem like the only club that gets extra time or "fergie time"). It's all to do with your perception as people such as yourself commonly ignore the decisions that go against us.

No one remembers Abidal's sending off vs. Chelsea. No one remembers Henry getting pulled down in the box vs Chelsea (first leg). I could go on, but then ppl would say "oh god, still not over that?". Of course i'm ****ing over it. Of course I'm over losing to Inter last year. Doesn't stop me from remembering it though. Doesn't stop me from bringing it up when ppl go "oh, barca and the refs again".

I acknowlegde that you get a tough run in the first quarter of the game but you have the umpires riding you sideways for the next 3 quarters of it. You have mentioned 4 dodgy decisions. You had more decisions go your way in the space of 20 minutes "that night vs Chelsea" than 4 too win you that game. No one alive who watched the game will think that isnt the biggest injustice in world football and a guess somewhat unfairly in some peoples eyes you are paying the price for it in regards to your reputation right now.

I dont care about reputation, I care about you talking out of your arse.

Let me ask you a question, if the Abidal neck touch was a red card, should RVP have been sent off for purposely hitting Alves in the face?

ffs, did you read why I only mentioned "four"?

I'm not saying we're unfairly dealt with by the refs. But for a team that spends A LOT more of the game IN possession then naturally there's going to be more 50-50 decisions made on our game. People simply remember the ones that go against them and forget the others.

Probably because only 4 exist :). I mean Barcelona fans are claiming that Messi should of got a penalty this morning. Thats because they have to really scrape the barrell to find decisions going against them.

There are more 50-50 decisions made in your games. Our questions relate to why they always seem to end up going your way.

People remember what they want to remember I suppose. They also remember thing based on there influence and importance which goes to what i was saying before. Evertime a key and important decision has to be made it goes Barcelonas way. Without fail

If Barca fans seriously think they have as many decisions go against them as for them then they can't be rescued from their sad, sorry state of delusion.

Comparing an incorrect offside call – which are difficult to call at the best of times as the human eye can never determine exactly when the ball was played and where all the attackers were at the same time. It’s impossible. You can only judge as best you can.
Refereeing while having its points of determining things near impossibility is something which can be more precise.
And for Kompany to quote one decision in that Chelsea-Barca game – when Chelsea had forty go against them. (another 60 if you count the other Chelsea-Barca games) is just really sad. It’s all about denying, deflecting and avoiding with Barca fans.
The same pathetic people. Time after time.
And Kompany what’s with a ****ing Belgian supporting a Spanish team? I could point out why that’s wrong but you’d just deny, deflect and avoid. The Barca way.

Keep it going though guys. The world can see it but you can’t. Why is that?

Would absolutely love you guys to get sent packing AGAIN by Mourinho this season. He has your number when it really matters.

So I guess a PK in the first leg that was not counted as well as a correct goal ruled offside are not important decisions?

LOL @ neck touch.

Don't deflect. Would a hand to the face on purpose be a red card? Cause if it is then by your super-awesome-logic everything invloving RVP after that is irrelevant..
