Probably because only 4 exist :). I mean Barcelona fans are claiming that Messi should of got a penalty this morning. Thats because they have to really scrape the barrell to find decisions going against them.

There are more 50-50 decisions made in your games. Our questions relate to why they always seem to end up going your way.

People remember what they want to remember I suppose. They also remember thing based on there influence and importance which goes to what i was saying before. Evertime a key and important decision has to be made it goes Barcelonas way. Without fail
and all the non existent fouls - diving rewarded, surround refs not punished, choking players to death.... all of it. the rules don't apply to barca. the refs amend them to suit.

If Barca fans seriously think they have as many decisions go against them as for them then they can't be rescued from their sad, sorry state of delusion.

Comparing an incorrect offside call – which are difficult to call at the best of times as the human eye can never determine exactly when the ball was played and where all the attackers were at the same time. It’s impossible. You can only judge as best you can.
Refereeing while having its points of determining things near impossibility is something which can be more precise.
And for Kompany to quote one decision in that Chelsea-Barca game – when Chelsea had forty go against them. (another 60 if you count the other Chelsea-Barca games) is just really sad. It’s all about denying, deflecting and avoiding with Barca fans.
The same pathetic people. Time after time.
And Kompany what’s with a ****ing Belgian supporting a Spanish team? I could point out why that’s wrong but you’d just deny, deflect and avoid. The Barca way.

Keep it going though guys. The world can see it but you can’t. Why is that?

Would absolutely love you guys to get sent packing AGAIN by Mourinho this season. He has your number when it really matters.

Speaking of Mourinho sending us packing and bad ref calls.. Did you not watch both legs last season? Milito was about 40 meters offside, we should have had a penalty, and the handball on Yaye that ruled out our goal was attrocious.

And lol@offside calls now being human error.. when they happen against a team you support or in favor of Barca though you seem to think otherwise. No more wasting my time on your posts.

Your comparing very lineball decisions to thing thats are completely and obviously wrong.

BTW im not deflecting anything. A choke hold is much worse than a touch to the face so of course one is a red and the other is a yellow. It goes without saying really. The fact id have to describe that choking is worse than a flick to the head is bemusing to me

10 men (nice non-mention) v debatable decisions, and biased interpretations....

mmmm....

You realise that sending someone off (or not sending smoeone off as happened in the recent Liverpool-ManU game) is a decision as well yeah? Why is it that only this decision is the one that you seem to harp on right now?

When Chelsea didn't get their debatable decisions and biased interpreatations you went mental..

Fact of the matter is, RVP got a harsh second yellow. We got a 100% correct goal rules offside. Abidal should have received a yellow, we had two 'debatable' PKs not awarded to us. Minor decisions went against Arsenal, but they also went against Barca as well (lol@ the corner that the linesman gave as a GK and was overuled by the ref and RVP was not expecting at all). Shit happens. Live with it.

Surely even someone as thick as you can acknowledge that considering Barca had 70+ possession of the ball they were more likely to get the calls since Arsenal were the ones defending?

I have done some research and discovered Barcelona will no longer be using Tot el Camp as their entrance song.

this is the world exclusive release of their new club song:

Your point being? That they helped us? Not much help when they don't give us a PK in the first leg, a PK in the second leg, and rule a legitimate goal as offside.. Worst helpers ever!

So you're denying that they helped you?

Riiiiight.

I believe deluded is the word.

PK in the 2nd leg wasn't there, offside goal was touch and go but they can't exactly make it look suss can they?

They determined the result of this tie - that's a fact. Dodgy red cards/soft free kicks in and around the box and the pressure eventually told.

Barcelona have history as well.

Quite a big decision that was, and then there was also Ballack's (non-deliberate) handball in the 1st half which should've been a penalty since everyone was calling for Pique's handball to be a PK. Still 2 decisions that don't weigh up against the 5 or 6 other debatable ones, but that night there was clearly shit refereeing towards both sides. Seriously, why did he send off Abidal if he wanted us to go through? He quite likely just lost his head and possibly compensated after that decision, but from memory, all of those decisions were debatable, not crystal clear.

You're just obsessed by Barcelona. And the whole of Spanish football really. When we get an easy draw you say we always get easy draws. When we get a dodgy decision going for us we always get them. That's your problem. We've had plenty of bad decisions go against us at crucial times as well, but you conveniently always forget them. In the last 6 seasons or something, we've been drawn against an English opponent in the first knockout round 4 times. That's Uefa helping us, right?

Remember your thread on how Cole's yellow card was a conspiracy so he wouldn't be able to play against Messi? :D

I laughed :D

At the end of the day, barca fans can't acknowledge that every year in the champions league there is always some sort of referring controversy and pathetic sportsmanship by barca.

It was summed up when szcnesy had to go off so he threw the ball out, so what does the barca player do? Instead of giving the ball back properly as you do he kicks the ball out near the corner flag so we have a throw in back in our final third. Only a little thing but absolutely pathetic to take advantage of an injury like that.

The Barca players must have some sort of chokehold fetish ...

And if I was completely honest - the thing I hate most about Barca, the thing that can't be argued (which their fans do, which annoys me the most) is the way they act towards referees. They're aggressive, unsportsmanlike and generally show no respect for their opposing professionals. Their conduct annoys me the most and it hasn't changed and it is the very reason I developed an intense dislike for them in the frist place.
It hasn't changed.

That is why I hate you. That is why alot of people do.
Your players act like ********s on the field - amazingly the diving is the least of the offences.

But you like Chelsea?

But you like Chelsea?
bad call - to suggest chelsea do that now, do it often, or many of them do it is complete with inaccuracy.

going back years they had three or four culprits.

but there isn't the play acting, faking injuries to get other players sent off, rolling around, immeadiately surrounding the referee over the most minor incidents, agressively attacknig the referee when you don't like something he's done, or a sense of entitlement to every single decision.

the two clubs, in this aspect, are not comparable.
no one is close to barcelona.

yes there is definitely a category known as being 'bad winners'. similar in a way to our cricket team a few years ago, yes we were world beaters and dominated for a long period of time, and had some of the greatest players the world has seen in our line up. but we also put a lot of opponents and fans offside with how we played the game at times, and the sometimes petulant behavior we displayed. admired for our achievements yes, but not necessarily respected

as great a team as Barca are, arguably one of the greatest if not greatest club team of all time, the consistent crowding of the ref, baiting other players etc just leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

congratulations to Barca on a well deserved victory this morning, outstanding display of possession and pressure football. im sure there will be many more victories and trophies ahead, however it would be nice to see a bit more grace and humility embedded into their game. i for one will hoping mourinho gets up to his old tricks and masterminds another victory over them

I think it was around 2 season ago that it was crystal clear that the UEFA/FIFA was against English teams and nothing has changed now.

If that was an English (or a ref with a bit of common sense) referee out there Robin stays on the pitch and the game changes.

Nobody likes the English, hence the Lampard disallowed goal the cup, hence the one vote they got for their world cup bid, hence the 08/09 champions league round of 16 draw when Liverpool got Real, Chelsea got Juve, United got Inter and Arsenal got Roma and hence the Chelsea Barca game where you could of picked out 2 or 3 clear cut penalties though none we're given.

We both exaggerate and the truth is probably somewhere in the middle.

I've never said anything about us crowding referees. I don't approve of it, but it happens all the time in football so I'm not gonna go on about it. For sure we're no angels but neither are our opponents. We once had a long discussion about our last home game against Chelsea, when Chelsea players were consistently committing very clever fouls that weren't picked up by the ref (similarly to how Holland played in SA last year). They were fouls, no doubt, but if the ref doesn't blow his whistle and the fouling team keeps getting an advantage out of them, then what other choice do you leave our players but to go down and make the foul obvious? That night, Chelsea did by far the most of the cheating (incomprehensible how Ballack wasn't sent off), yet you wouldn't have admitted that, maybe because you believe it's part of the game. Well influencing the ref and going to ground (I won't even start about diving, you seem to mix them up) are part of the game too.

All class, technically red cards if you want to play that game.

RVP on Messi in the first half.. But yeah.. don't worry about it.

And when Sky (pro-english) and Marca (antibarca) say Messi should have also got a PK I think I can claim non-bias on that one, eh?
