A Grade
Avenel 69 (1.57) Last game vs Alexandra
Kilmore 69 (1.20) vs Broadford
Alexandra 48 (1.11) vs Avenel
Tallarook 36 (1.12) vs Seymour
Broadford 28 (0.67) vs Kilmore
Eastern Hill 24 (1.04) vs Yea Tigers
Yea Tigers 21 (0.92) vs Eastern Hill
Seymour 21 (0.72) vs Tallarook

Only outright points can see 5th place Broadford and a Tallrook lose will see a change in the top 4. Although Kilmore and Avenel can swap places but either outright points or a lose is required. Looks fairly set though

*Farcically Seymour may still be in the mix if 10 points are awarded for the Yea game earlier in the season (if awarded and a win against Tallarook will see them slip into 4th spot apparently)

B Grade
Nagambie 68 (1.7) vs Royals
Kilmore 63 (1.53) vs Broadford
Alexandra 61 (1.45) vs Avenel
*Avenel 58 (1.27) vs Alexandra
Thornton 55 (1.31) vs Seymour
Tallarook 39 (1.13) BYE
Broadford 33 (0.73) vs Kilmore
Seymour 33 (0.69) vs Thornton
Eastern Hill 27 (0.68) vs Yea Tigers
Yea Tigers 27 (0.66) vs Eastern Hill
Royals 21 (0.52) vs Nagambie

Still open at the top of the table and outrights this week will be the key. Thorton (5th) are still a big chance to climb into the finals with Alexandra (3rd) playing Avenel (4th). The final top 4 slots between Nagambie Kilmore Alexandra Avenel and Thorton are anyones guess. Only Nagambie and Kilmore are guaranteed a final birth.

C Grade
Kilmore 96 (2.91) vs Broadford Black
Pyalong 96 (2.75) vs Alexandra
Avenel 84 (2.01) vs Tallarook
Puckapunyal Wanderers 84 (1.84) vs Flowerdale
Thornton 66 (1.37) vs Royals
Alexandra 60 (0.94) vs Pyalong
Broadford Red 54 (0.93) vs Nagambie
Eastern Hill 48 (0.62) vs Seymour
Flowerdale 45 (2.44) vs Puckapunyal Wanderers
Puckapunyal Nomads 42 (0.66) BYE
Royals 33 (0.30) vs Thornton
Nagambie 30 (0.60) vs Broadford Red
Broadford Black 30 (0.59) vs Kilmore
Tallarook 24 (0.79) vs Avenel
Seymour 18 (0.40) vs Eastern Hill

Top 4 is set Kilmore and Pyalong can finish 1st or 2nd percentage could play a huge part and Avenel and Puckapunyal Wanderers are in the same boat and will finish in either 3rd and 4th position.

Does anyone know if D Grade finals played between 5th-8th on the C Grade ladder will go ahead again this year??? if so Thornton Alexandra and Broadford Red have all quailified and will be joined by either Eastern Hill Flowerdale or Puckapunyal Nomads. Thornton will occupy either 1st or 2nd place (5th or 6th on the C Grade ladder) and Alexandra will finish between 1st and 3rd depending on there performance this week. Fourth spot is up in the air. Eastern Hill will get the spot if they beat Seymour but a lose will open the door for Flowerdale would have to beat Puckapunyal Wanderers otherwise Puckapunyal Nomads may sneak in as they are guaranteed 6 points with the bye (both Eastern Hill and Flowerdale would need to lose though).

Seymour A grade claimed outright points for its 2 dayer against Yea earlier in the year, as they played a dodgy. So a win this week could see us in the finals if we beat Tallarook

Ken Daniel awarded us the points tuesday night.

Surely no cricket today lads, in the A's I heard Avenel already got first innings points over Alex (all out about 90), Tallarook had Seymour in strife last score I got and Broadford were about 4/100 against Kilmore, Jimmy Ingham unbeaten on about 55, Trav mighta had 2-3 of the wickets, Rod McLeod got one. Coulda been worse for the visitors, I reckon I saw 5-6 catches grassed.

So it should be Avenel v Tallarook (at Avenel) and Kilmore v Alex (at Kilmore) yeah?

the rook got over the line against seymour passing their total of 75 7 down. most batsmen for the rook got into the teens before being dismissed!!

Interesting afternoon of cricket to be had with both A-grade games well and truly even after day one.

Avenel bowled out for 104 or close to it, Joey Tarran starring with the ball - in reply the Rook are 4-40odd.

Alex made 181 down at Kilmore, one of the openers (Whitehead perhaps???) got thru a tough period, Marcus Hill the mainstay with an important half century along with a more than handy 8th wicket stand after the Rebels were 7/113. For me the outstanding performance was that of Rod McLeod, 8 wickets in a semi-final just adds to an already amazing cricketing record :thumbsu:

Then a solid 70 odd to carry the boys over the line with Blacky 5 down...the man is a god haha

Any chance of getting a run down of the games, have been away for the weekend??

Glad to see that the young Broady lads got up in the consolation final and good to hear that Nagambie are finally going to step back up to play A-grade cricket next summer in a move that can only be a positive for the SDCA :thumbsu:

Avenel chasing 123 and got them 8 down. Good game, down to the wire.

Nagambie won by 70odd runs on second innings against Kilmore.
Nagambie got the 10th wicket at about 5.45. Another great game

hey doon,

kilmore won toss and batted, walshy and tassone put on 60 odd of about 35 overs, rod macleod got 9 and got hit by a full toss and given lbw, blackey 2nd ball holed out to short cover, barrow same thing, tony maher? batted for a few hours but only got 8 or so, trav hede holed out at cover, thats all i can remamber i think, avenels dig... pearcey duck then mick d and willie put on 80 odd then a few quick wickets got kilmore back into it, h sherwood came out needing 12 to win with 2 wickets in hand and survived with mick d who hit the winning runs and also bought up his patient 50 not out...the rest is history

Cheers Scoot, first weekend i aint seen a ball bowled since before Xmas, had a few updates via SMS over the 2 days musta been another thriller in the end!!! So are ya's diggin up the wicket table before season 2010/2011 - last 4 days of cricket has produced 38 wickets for about 450 runs on what I always rated one of the better wickets I played on :D

Cue in the rack at Avenel now or what? For years the Swans made regular finals appearances without snaffling a 1st grade title, but surely this recent success has every other club envious. Reminds of a period when the Seymour based clubs seemed to win it every year . . . . in second thoughts it's kinda like the Shepp sides battling in the GVFL of late, pretty good to see.

Time will tell which club's will choose to something about it, and who will go on the recruit during the winter. Whilst on recruiting, can the Phantom bring up at the next meeting ways to get our competition more computer literate? I enjoy looking at all the scores (apart from the SDCA) from around the traps on the various cricket sites, and are getting sick of hearing from people no longer in the area who constantly complain that they can't get up to date scores/ladders from anywhere.

Few rumours around the traps that not all was rosy in the KCC clubrooms after there 3 grand final defeats. Mouche or Sheafie can you confirm or deny whether things got a bit heated down there. SDCA clubs get your cheque books ready, heard a few young blokes might be on the move ????

Don't think any of the young blokes would be worth a $.

I heard Kilmore are off to the Gisborne league anyway, any truth in that rumour boys.

Have our two popular Kilmore CC correspondants tiptoed around this one????

popular?? not sure abt that just hope the gisborne league treat us more kindly

Well I aint heard too many bad words bout ya Mouche so ya alright in my eyes mate :thumbsu: (same for the big Sheaf). Id heard bout the Gisborne thing too - but more along the lines of maybe "another" club forming after some after hour shenigans post GF  . Do they need any umpires over there??

From what I've heard, I think that was a thought based on the current expansion of players at KCC. To ensure all players would play on a Saturday, as ground availability and SDCA structure may struggle to accomodate another side.

Young players on the move? Any names to go with that?? I think there are a couple worth some investment for clubs... Evans, Coyle, Wheeler, Ingham and the like could all be worth an investment if they were up for grabs...

Any whispers of movements or new appointments? Major changes?

You named 4 very loyal kids there, would be shocked to see any of them move on.
nagambie should be interesting if they go into the A grade, will nolan return, will the winter irvings come back,
If they do, they will have a very handy side.
