Howd the final day of one dayers end up? Who plays who in the final next week? Broady rolled for Seymour for 103 and then got em 4 down, Billy Neilson's form continued with 30 odd not out and, and Yea made 110-120 against Avenel who then proceeded to get the runs 2 or 3 wickets down
That's bad news about the internet at Nestle Doona. Some of our counterparts on the HDFL site have suffered the same fate, hence we haven't heard from the likes of Real Taste Zero Sugar, We're Streaking and the Hillbully for a while. Can only hope that DHS do the right thing by me and don't take it off here! Can't say it's all bad with the Hillbully being off line though. Avenel to thrash tallarook in the one day final.:D

I suppose I'll find out thursday night but I'm guessing I'll hold my spot for both just so the average age doesn't drop too abruptly. I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed that we win the toss and bat or that if Chippa wins he decides to bowl on saturday. Perhaps I'll stock up on the radox just in case.

Tips for the weekend lads:

Broadford V Yea
Eastern Hill V Seymour
Avenel V Alexandra
Kilmore V Tallarook

Thoughts? cheers
YEA v EH this week
Daniel Evans will ton up after being in form.
tough to bat aginst B. Renfrey but should help towards a win for the lads from yea.

Jazzy you are the greatest - thought you were kidding when u said you'd lodged an annual leave form for Monday to celebrate the Rook's one-day premiership . . . . I just hope for your sake they look after ya mate as their last two appearances in the big games aint been too impressive :D

I hope u were also kidding when u said the BIGSHOW is out for Sunday as he is going house hunting with the new bride

the rook will be going off sunday night!!

No no mate not at all what I meant - just saying Im of the belief somebody has copy and pasted a post or two about a recent issue and forwarded it to SDCA exec with the wording "what are you going to do about this" - seeing that we all go under alias' it's going to be pretty hard to prove who actually says what as in my case alone 3-4 people use my indiviual log in ;)

Hey Doona I was wondering if there had been any further developments to your earlier post? You seemed fairly certain that something big was about to break but a we're a month down the track and nothing seems to have happened, whats going on?

Obviously the SDCA have cooled their jests and decided not to pursue it so no need to air it here - I will fill you in when I see ya next :thumbsu: Good luck tomorrow although with the covers not having to go on til tonight the Rook may win the big one without even pulling the whites out of the kitbag :D

Now there's a thought. Is it too late to go take them off?:D You Broadford boys know all the angles don't ya. LOL.

Hahaha. Of course the best clubmen are always thinking of such things.:thumbsu:
Shame about this weather, I was looking forward to catching up with Chippa to try and find out if the rumours of his signing at Seymour FC are infact true. I thought he was keen for another year up north but hopefully he's had a change of heart. Can you confirm?

Can confirm he trained, can confirm he didnt sign

For those interested the One-Day Final will go ahead as scheduled today at Tallarook.:thumbsu: I just got home from the ground and was pleasently surprised to find that while the outfield is a little soggy in places the wicket was well protected by the covers and looks a treat. If the rain stays away and the breeze keeps up I can't see why play wouldn't start on time. Unbelievable really after all the rain we had yesterday, someone said 109mm at Mangalore.:thumbsu:

How did it all end up yesterday?
Avenel won comfortably in the end. After being in trouble at 7/74 John Green and Xavier Hammill got together and turned things around pushing the score up to 168 at the end of their innings with Geeny making 50 odd.
Not sure what we were dismissed for in the end but somewhere around the 100 mark I think with Subba getting 47 and Brett Tarran 18. Another dissapointing outcome for the Rook faithfull but life goes on.
Hmmm, should have taken the bloody covers off!:(

Christ what is it with you blokes and Grand Finals lately?

Unbelievable aint it? I don't think we could buy one at the moment. I'm starting to think I could be some kind of jinx. Since my involvment at TCC the club have taken part in 6 Grand Finals (including Telegraph Cup), 4 of which I have played in, and come up empty all 6 times. Jazzy wanted to sign my clearence last night and there's a few about that think I should be threatening other clubs with my services.

Don't count on the Saints as being morals Doona. We're hoping to improve on fourth this year so stop talking us up. I gave you the drum on Tallarook and Avenel in the one day final, you could have taken them as the first leg instead of a side that is no moral. Seems that Avenel have the wood over the Rook well and truly at the minute. Advertising at work again shortly, message me if you need details.

Does anyone have any news on how the T20 between Eastern Hill and Broadford went tonight?

Eastern hill Lost by 50 odd runs Mick brown made 50 odd and the hill made 130 somethin, broady ended up winning by 30 - 50 runs, Congradulations go to 13 yr old Jordie Stokes who took a Hat-Trick Good on ya champ!!:thumbsu:
