This ought to stir up a few. Dont think anyone expected Callan in the side though!

We might get some late changes methinks.

I like the change. Callan plays fairly big down back and obviously Williams wasn't ready yet and may not be next week either so we have Callan to go back and fill the hole against Brown/Bradshaw, Reiwoldt/Kosi.

I doubt Eade would want to drop a tall (ish) forward for a backman so I suspect Murph (injury) may be a late withdrawal for Everitt to go from wing to half forward.

Hill wasn't working hard enough and this could be the kick up the bum he needed. Let's see all the muppets crying out how Gia should have been dropped and Everitt deserves a spot. Everitt had a real chance to stake his claim with a big vfl game last week but was very poor, epitimising his up and down form. Gia is a leader and was one of our best pre-injury, he deserves at least this week to show he should be in the team.

yeh thats a great change for mine.
i thought it was going to be everitt for hill. The only other change may be everitt in and murphy out, time will tell. Hopefully Murphys good to go though. Really rated timmy callan in our finals series last year. GO DOGGIES

Game high 5 tackles and a goal? Not to mention our 3rd most attacking forward this year.

SURPRISE!! My only concern is lack of talls. I was expecting Everitt to get a gig if there were any changes. All smalls on the bench is good for run.... but with only Lake & Shaggy as tall defenders, lets hope we don't lose one of that pair!! I know Welshy has been used in the back half in bursts recently, but we rob pete to pay paul, and resort to the Land of the Dwarfs forward structure when we do. I reckon there's another problem, and RWB may have it right...Murphy as a late out and Everitt in!

hooroo.... GO DOGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hill was a bit slack defensively last week, but I just worry that if Murphy is a late withdrawal, our forward line will lack spark. Will be interesting to see what role Callan plays tommorow night.

A disgrace, hasn't played all year because he is not up to it! His disposal will be found out under pressure. Fair enough Hill is out but I for one am certainly not convinced Callan is the right option. Happy to be proven wrong though.

IMO it will definitely be blocking the space in front of Brownshaw, he's tough enough to take the hits. Similar to what we'll have to do with Roo/Kosi?

Anyone else think Eade is playing games?

I reckon Murphy will be a late withdrawal, and Everitt will come in so essentially it will be:

Out: Murphy, Hill
In: Everitt, Callan

which doesnt sound that bad does it?

I'd love to see Everitt plonked up at CHF to take some nice grabs.

Stats don't tell the full story. You can easily get 2 - tackles in one sequence with defenders holding it in, in the forward line. It's not like he had 30 - 40 meter chases up the wing running down the Geelong defenders. Geelong backmen killed us and someone had to be held accountable. Also, there was the effort in the centre where he could have easily cut off Mooney's mark and put his body on the line but didn't and chose to instead run behind the contest. I yelled at the tv when I saw that. He had a chance to go, but didn't and that isn't good enough. Callan will go every time and although his disposal isn't great, we need his mongrel/toughness/heart in this team.

Bring in a tall for Fcuk sake! We are way to small..

Who would you like to bring in? Wight is tall, want to bring him in? People seem to love Skipper all of a sudden when most probably wanted him delisted last year, he is tall bring him in!

I would much rather someone with heart and toughness come in the just someone because they are tall.

If you are going to say Everitt, I love Andrejs but he has had a very average year and has not imposed himself at all. He had a real chance in the vfl last week but had an ordinary game. He needs to pick up his effort and start dominating some vfl games consistantly to get some games with the dogs, not just one good game in round 22.

I was really surprised with the inclusion. Listening to Rocket talking during the week he was talking about needing more run so I thought Everitt might have came in.

Oh well, all the best to Callan. Hope he plays well tomorrow night.

I think this is a direct result of Hill pulling out of the marking contest against Mooney. He tried hard to make up for it afterwards but his card was marked.
He's been our third most production forward all year and still a kid so I hope Eade isn't cutting off his nose to spite his face.
