The higher quality of players coming into the division is great for the competition. A few from divy 1 clubs (wineberg, ford etc) plus some from better comps (Mpnfl). Should make for a real competitive season. So far it doesn't look like many clubs have lost anyone big!

Looks like there has been some big movers and shakers in the preseason?

Doveton Eagles, Lyndale and Dandy seem to be recruiting well, by the transfers on SFL website that is. (despite Lyndale losing some experienced players)

Is it true though that Reedy has left Lyndale?

Mount Waverly seem quite as do Moorabbin. Any1 wana shed some light on whats happening down there.

Hallams recruits are starting to filter in. Should make 2012 very exciting.

Ohh and by the way the so called "Riff Raff" is welcome back at End Hills with a few of them training. And just to get facts correct. Only 2 players from that supposed "Riff Raff" were reported. One was found not guilty while the other has served his suspension and will play Round 1.

Are you serious GreenFalcon?? That is a joke... Only 2 got suspended, that time! If you are letting these guys play at your club then you clearly don't know the 'facts' to do with them. Having played against them I can safely say it was the worst game I have ever been involved in because of the behaviour they displayed.

Only 1 was suspended. The other had a report made against him by the Dandenong coach which was thrown out at the tribunal.

What happened at Dandy. Happened. They left, found another club and moved on. Its time everyone else got over it? Worry about your own clubs and let End Hills worry about itself.

still burning over this old chestnut eh? - you seem to know 'facts' over the group - then you would be clear to understand the 'facts' behind the suspensions or was the reason Shaun Burgoyne's involvement in the SFL in 2011 - not a fact?

Great way to start a new club allowing them to play!! Remember this before you defend them... The path to hell is paved with good intentions.

Sure, in the short term they will help with numbers and may play some good footy between suspensions but at what cost to the clubs reputation?? Another SFL club with a bad name? Not what any of us need especially when good quality players are starting to filter through the divisions.

I am all for giving blokes chances but some actions/behaviours are inexcusable on the football field.

Anyway has anyone got an early flag favourite??

Couple of decent players from Murrumbeena signed on the dotted line with Caulfield apparently. Player from Ovens and Murray leaugue also not far away from signing along with captain of one of the international rules teams and a bunch of ex juniors returning to the fold.Momentum starting to build.

Things looking up for the Bears in 2012 and should be pretty competitive!

Wouldn't think that Sandown or Mount would slide out of the top 5, with Hallam as I understand getting great numbers on the track, Dandy recruiting smartly and training hard and a natural improvement by the Hills it will be a very close season.
As a Lyndale person obviously like your tip of us finishing top but making finals should be the first priority before looking at top spot.

What makes you think that the 2 best performing sides in the home and away season will fall away? We haven't lost anyone at Sandown, and gained some quality players...

Any news, ideas or information on sides in d3 this thread has been very quite. I see Hallam has a lot off players that now have been registered which is great, they do look like they will be young tho which holds them in great stead for the future. Dandy and lyndale seem to be big movers in the recruite stacks what are our productions for this year and any news on practice matches. :):D

I believe Caulfield are playing South Yarra and Power House in practice matches.

Sandown will be playing an intraclub this friday the 16th.
Sandown Vs Canterbury on the 24th.
Sandown Vs Southern Dragons on the 31st.

All Games at Edinburgh Reserve.

The Sandown Cobras FC was also voted as being the Best Conducted Club in 3rd Division for 2011.

The Sandown Cobras FC is pleased to announce that $50,000 has been allocated to the Edinburgh Reserve Upgrade design which will take place in the financial year coming up 2012-13 and $600,000 has been allocated for the Edinburgh Reserve refurbishment-renovation for the following financial year 2013-2014. So in the next 2 year timeframe Edinburgh Reserve's Social and Changerooms will undertake significant work.

Also are now in partnership with the Parkmore JFC... Exciting times ahead for the cobras!

Lyndale are Hawthorn Amateurs on the 24th and then Murrumbeena on the 31st March. Both games are at home.

Good to hear about the improvements to be made on all club facilities in the COGD, some of the facilities are not up to scratch or in the case of Sandown they have outgrown them over the last few years.
