Should Clarke be captain?

they have no right at all, how would you too like a mistake at your work, everytime you walk in they boo you? Yeah im sure you wouldnt feel nervous for a while till you get it right.

he playes SPORT for work, and he is paid very well and it makes him a celebrity so he can make plenty of cash from those gay adds he has plenty of time to be in. Shitkickers have the right to boo this pretty boy if he is consistantly not making runs. if he cant handle the pressure of getting boo'ed it hardly makes him captain material, players that rely on confidence arent very reliable

Ever heard of home ground advantage, yeah i am pretty sure most players get motivated of the roar of the crowd

no shit, people that booed him obviously dont want him in the team so they would rather he didnt make runs so they might finally put batsmen that are in form in the team.

ahhh yeah give me an example of a pure batsman.

you earn respect, like scoring a hundred under pressure as clarke did. He needs to replicate that form in test matchs

you don't get respect on the silver platter just because some toffs at the ACB decide you're the golden boy.

Clarke earns his money through performance at a sport which he chooses to play. His earnings are dependent on his form and charisma. Its stuff he has to develop, not just get handed to him.

How is it that you can't see the difference between not respecting somebody, and actually booing them. If fans don't respect Clarke, fine, just cheer him as you would any other player you don't particularly respect. Actively booing him, however, goes well beyond that.

Exactly, he does and you don't. In the grand scheme of things you're a nobody, just like the majority of the crowd.

He can obviously handle the pressure as he's scored 2 half centuries since then, but that doesn't mean the booing is warranted. I've never booed anyone in my life, but if I was to do that it'd be because someone is a cheat or abusive etc, not because they're out of form.

He obviously doesn't want to be out of form and a professional athlete like himself would no doubt be working on it time and time again until things click. The crowd has no right to dislike Clarke for anything other than his form and he's not deliberately going out there trying to fail, so it just makes the crowd look fickle and pathetic.

As long as we arent being relevant im sure you are a nobody to

The crowd paid for their tickets they can boo whoever the hell they like, particularly if they deserve it.

In terms of booing the captain of the Australian cricket team, I am. Which part of my point did you miss?

The crowd paid for their tickets they can boo whoever the hell they like, particularly if they deserve it.

How does he deserve it, exactly? Try to reply without using terms like "underwear ads" or "uses Twitter", because we're talking about people paying for a ticket to the cricket, making that other stuff irrelevant.

Put it this way. Is it illegal? No. People who pay a lot of money can boo whoever they want at the cricket.

The captain of the Aus cricket team isn't exactly some sort of religious god that must be bowed to.

Underarm wasn't illegal at the the either. Doesn't make it right. There's no reason to boo. He's having a go doing his best. Why would people boo him and not support him? Can boo who they like but they still are simply flogs, as those who think it's ok. Bowed to or not you still expect respect, at least from normal people.

Must be something wrong with underwear ads, having big houses, fast cars, and a twitter account if you take notice of other posters. Wow, what a crime. I call it perks of the job that have well earned. Maybe he should give all that up to please others. Just shows how idiotic, and jealous, people can be. If they can't have knock people who did. Make sthe losers feel better in their own minds.

Seems people here fall into two categories, sheep, because the guy next to me booed, i must boo, and people who generally want Australia to do well in this rebuild progress.

and a third category that don't really care how australia goes as long as their man is there

nope, pointing to those sad sycophants who supported carrying smith, clarke and hughes regardless in the recent ashes series no matter how pathetic and weak they were during that series, at the clear cost to the side.

Yes because clearly we are selectors who get too choose our own team, doesnt give you the right too boo, go stand out the front of the Selectors house and boo if it makes you feel better :thumbsu:

there is nothing to say we don't have the right.

Just because you don't like it, don't impose your wishes on our freedoms.

you think clarke can't do any wrong and you think the captaincy of the australian team is sacrosanct no matter who is in the spot. I get it. Many don't agree with it.
