Should Daniher lead you into the future?

Nothing to do with form. I am thinking tactical nous, player development and motivational abilities. Interested to hear what every group of fans has to say about their future under their current coach.

When is the use by date? It will be interesting to see if voting is based purely on form this season or whether there are dissenters in every clubs ranks who can see something most of us can't.

I have never been an ND fan and was disappointed whemn that stupid administration at the club at the moment appointed him mid way thru the season, especially seeing at the end of the year the quality of coaches that were available.

He may prepare his paperwork magnificently before the game, but come game day he is totally lost.

How about a third option "undecided". My biggest concern with danners is that when things don't go our way, which has been the majority of the season, he doesn't seem to be able to change his style to counterattack. Pagan was like this with the roos, but with the lineup he had it didn't matter.

Poor effort from you lot.
I am ashamed at the lack of faith we have in our coach. This is the very same coach who took us to a GF two years ago. Sure we didn't win but that Essendon side lost only 1 game that year.

I know the bloke has very little in the way of tactics, but as footy changes, the fundementals stay the same. Many coaches try and be too flambouyant in their tactics, and often never get into a game because they are afraid to stick with a winning formula. Neale has been a very serviceable coach over the past 5-6 seasons and took us from the depths of hell to a Prelim in his first year!

Don't discount him or our season based on current form. Any dedicated fan can see that we are playing good footy in spurts, and going missing for the rest. In every game this year (from memory) we have blown away the opposition in a 10-15 minute period. Not once this year have we been able to consistantly play that way, but it WILL happen.

ND has little in the way of defenders to work with this year. We are trying to build up a defence for the future (Miller, Ferguson etc) that can get us closer to that elusive flag. But until they get bigger and more experienced, we have to make do with what we got, which isn't much. We can't expect much from our Demons when we have a shocking backline.

Have faith people, he is in the top 5 or 6 coaches in the league and will prove his worth very soon (if he hasn't already).

Besides, who would coach us?

Wallace has done nothing... very overrated coach.
Eade got Sydney to a GF in his first year, then faded.

Then who! Nobody, nobody at all.

Neale has an excellent win loss record with melbourne, better than many rival coaches who's jobs aren't under threat.

Again, have faith.

But look what Wallace had at the Bulldogs...a weaker playing list then Melbourne has had over the past 5-10 years thats for sure.

IMO Wallace could bring a bit of toughness to Melbourne, as at the moment we lack players who are really willing to go in hard. (except maybe Godfrey, Rigoni and Neitz).

i dont think he has changed , just the players have been down and we have had some injuries.
