Should I enter 100 teams next season?

We have just creatd a second league, where you have to auto fill the team and trade up (after its locked) to see who wins. Just a bit of fun - don't really see any harm in it TBH

You have to become a member and can keep doing this by making new hotmails or emails ect. They send you the link to your hotmail. Also need to make new names up and numbers up ect.

Than go to the store and hand it in. You get $25. You have to remember the name you typed in and also the number and email. Unsure which one they will ask. I just write them down on the voucher i printed of for the $25 so the questions they ask are already answered. I also go to 3 different stores and rotate as i go. So it doesnt become obvious to them. Once i couldnt remember the name and said it wrong but still worked. They said is this your friends name and i said yes. HAHHA

The multiple leagues issue i can understand, and as previously mentioned, if they're all going to be the same then so be it.

What i do have a problem with, however, is people using multiple accounts to 'hedge their bets' either by having them start off the same and when it comes to a split 50/50 trade (such as with roo going down) one team picks ROK and the other picks Chappy, or by starting almost identical teams but once again heding on big decisions such as an ablett vs non-ablett team.

For what it's worth, i think hedging your bets takes the fun out of the game. The thrill is knowing you've got multiple options and having to make choices based on player form, statistics, gut feel, etc.

I don't have a problem if the teams remain identical. If someone had 3 identical teams in the top 100 @ the end of round 3 & decided to hedge their bets with trading/strategy they would have an unfair advantage.

As far as being envious/jealous my "crap" team is ranked in the top 100 overall.

I DON'T agree with cheating because at the end of the day thats what it is!!! by having multiple teams you have a better chance of winning the competition than the honest people do which sucks I'd be pissed if someone won the weekly prize and I knew that they had more than 1 team in the comp especially if I was 2nd to them.

I have read a few posts in this thread regarding them getting kicked out because they had a few teams in the comp with exactly the same team names the exactly same team and same details, All i can say to that is WTF are you on????? and what do you expect them to do?? it even warns you that if you are found to have multiple teams entered they will disqualify you from playing.

Look at the end of the day if you choose to do this you are taking a huge risk and you will get caught.

Regarding the IP address thing they couldn't kick you out solely on that reason because

a) How about if you and your workmates entered the DT comp from a business computer/computers and the computers were networked???

b) you could have family members who use the same computer that enter the DT comp?

In other words someone probably has dobbed you them person who has the multiple teams although if you have like 78 in the comp or 1 hundred then yeah you are gonna get noticed

My 1 Dream-team Team and my 1 Supercoach team is more than enough for me I couldn't imagine having 100 teams in a comp like I said before you would have to have a lot of spare time on your hands to do this and its just wrong...

There is a distinct advantage in entering a team after round 2. Round 13 2008 my team was 2nd in the weekly to a team that had scored 3,600 points less.

Well it was you who started this thread and with a title Should I enter 100 teams next season? people are gonna think thats what you want to do.

I just don't agree with it But guaranteed there would be a heap of people that have multiple teams in DT

In a nutshell they said the only time the issue may arise is having numerous teams (like 78) or if winning a prize of some sort. Obviously I told them it was me with the 3 teams and that they were all identical which is why I wasn't hiding behind aliases. They didnt have a problem with it and said if such a time came where I was eligible for a prize it would be assessed then. Yes you can be booted for multiple teams but surely common sense would say that should only take place when someone gains an advantage.

What a bullshit decision if this is the case the guy who had 78 teams should be allowed to enter his 78 teams and anyone who have multiple teams should be able to do so aswell considering they have said its "ok' for you to do so.

Why not only have the one team? why do you need Multiple teams????? The fact is you ARE CHEATING!!! and if DT is approving this I think you will find as a result of your "decision" people are gonna now call and vent their anger for having their teams kicked out and for you still having your teams in the comp and them saying it was ok to do so. Whether you 3 teams or 78 teams you are CHEATING and its not fair for others to get kicked out of the comp and for you to stay for doing the exact same thing that they did.

I don't think some people quite understand. In fact the person who started the post sent me a private message on here saying he didn't realise all 3 teams were identical and that in effect he had no problem in knowing the full details.

Now loyallion maybe you should read the whole thread AND look up the definition of CHEATING. If my teams remain IDENTICAL week in week out then what advantage do I have over anyone? You obviously haven't read this whole thread and as such have come in uninformed and really looking rather silly to anyone who has read the whole thread. I have 3 teams because I have been invited to quite a few leagues yet DT is limited to 3 leagues per team. Personally I just want to play against a lot of my mates (doesn't everyone) and to be honest I would love it if we could enter unlimited leagues. That would save me logging in 3 times to make exactly the same changes.

The whole problem is that I'm actually honest. Don't you think that if I wanted to cheat then I would enter 3 SEPARATE teams all with different names and different coach names?

Please tell me this starting to make sense to you now.

DT can track my every move and can look back over the whole season. If thre are differences then I should be booted but really if my teams are the same should that be an issue when all I want is to compete against a lot of mates.

This proves you haven't read the whole thread. No one said that at all. People said they knew of friends getting booted for having multiple teams but not one of them said they were identical in name and team. I am the only one who has said I have an IDENTICAL team and NAME.

Please do your research properly and read the whole thread first.

The thing that gets my goat is last year my Bro in law did the exact same thing you did but only had 2 exact teams in the comp last year and as much as I warned him not to bother doing it he was disqualified from playing DT The thing I am pissed off about is why is it that you got off and yet my Bro in law does the exact same thing and gets disqualified???? How is that fair??? and FYI I have read the the entire thread.

I can't comment because I don't know the circumstances. Maybe this year they are relaxed about multiple entries as they realise people want to enter several leagues and it will only be an issue if

1. the teams are different from the start giving you many options to have a decent side or

2. you have identical sides in a winning position then start hedging.

I'm only here to try flog my mates in the league comps and to be honest even the weekly prizes don't enter my thoughts. I just love the game and the bragging rights that can come with it.

Ill be honest, I have 3 teams...well thats not true, I have a team, and my 2 cats have a team each

Anyway, my team is the serious one, Team 2 was where I selected all the premo mids and then got dregs in other positions (my best team currently) and the last team has only players under 23

I have no illusions about winning anything, and if I do, good for me
