Opinion Should Jonas be captain in 2019?

The loss of Polec and Wingard was a failure of leadership at all levels. If the list overhaul signals a new beginning and a new set of standards the time is right to replace Boak.

I’d also like to think Boak’s days of being an automatic best 22 selection are over. He had too many anonymous/poor games this year to be wearing number 1.

If you see the Wingard trade as a failure by the club then by extension you should see Boaks leadership as a failure.

Boak to step down and focus on himself.

Would be a good choice, but I wouldn't be too upset if they gave it to Ollie now. I do agree that Boak has probably had enough of a go by now.

I tend to agree with you ...
As I have said before ... Ollie might be and in and under player but his kicking and some of his handballs lets him down.
Have been watching replays of our games, and this is one area he must improve on.
Maybe Jarrad Schofield can sort him out ... I bloody hope so.

TJ would be a good BUT he does have that potential to polarise people due to his record with the MRP, and as a result he could be an easy target for those who like to throw mud at our club.

Ollie on the other hand is the epitome of leadership. He literally has not put a foot wrong on or off the field since we drafted him and it would be very hard for anyone to criticise his choice as captain.

I think either would be a welcome change but for me personally Id be choosing Ollie.

I can think of a foot he put wrong. Literally. He put his foot sideways for a snap rather than downwards for a drop punt. It probably cost us a finals berth.

I don’t really care who they name captain.

I’ve lost faith in the entire group. Don’t feel particularly invested or engaged with them at all anymore. Just a bunch of well paid guys in a guernsey.
