Pies could take confidence in the fact they have beaten Brisbane the last 3 times they have played them...

That's fine, but I reckon the current premiers are going to be even better next year.

Maybe the Pies will be able to get back into the finals, but Freo is going past them for sure next year, so which two clubs drop out of the finals to allow the Pies to sneak one before the cliff comes?

I doubt it will happen, but good to see the Pies all in on the top-up. No half-measures, just like the Tigers with the draft.

I absolutely expect Collingwood to be one of the teams trading 2 years of 1st rounders to keep loading up.

The aim will be to stay top 4-6 while Tassie raid the draft and then if the fall comes in 2028/29 so be it.

The like of LDU, Brayshaw, TDK, Rowell, Ben King... Even younger guys like Phillipou or Callaghan.
