That's pretty uncommon. Good grab.
Are you saying it's not all mass produced and there is some sort of rarity scale?

Like you would not believe. Are you saying it's not all mass produced and there is some sort of rarity scale?

There was limited retail stock of certain Amiibos. You only see at most 10 in a store or catalogue - out of over 30 which have been released in sets. Why is that so?
Enlighten me further please.

Just to annoyusme further, America gets a special Amiibo that no one else does.
Um ... maybe 500% if I'm picking the right auctions. But yeah, it is a pain. Which is why there are people who hate Amiibos and/or Nintendo. So I guess you get to buy that one off Ebay for a 3000% markup?

No, that's not it.So people hate it because they love it and have to spend more money on it? lol
How about just stop buying into it?
Out of curiosity how many do you have?
Because I'm pathetic.
I've started bidding ...Well at least somebody else doesn't have to say it for you
Will you be buying the American only ones? Seems like since you've already gone this far it's worth completing the collection.
I don't get it... What do they do???No, that's not it.
The retail price of Amiibos in this country is 17-18 dollars. Depending on the retailer.
People buy them at retail price and then try to pawn them off for 30-50 depending on the rarity. That sort of market rubbish is caused by the lack of supply that Nintendo apparently perpetuates. That includes ceasing production of those which are impossible to find in stores anymore. That is why people get annoyed.
I ... have every one that has been released in Australia. That is around 40 at this point. I have preordered over 10 more that will come out in the next few months. Because I'm pathetic.
It takes less than five minutes to use the most common search engine in the world.I don't get it... What do they do???

They unlock features and bonus content in some games, for starters.
Oh, that.Yeah I've done a search but don't understand how it works.
Do you just touch it to your Nintendo and it reads an RFID chip or something?
Oh, that.
Aye ... my bad.
The one time I have actually done it, the device tells you to rest the amiibo on the marker on the screen. For the 3DS, the lower screen. For the Wii-U, I'm assuming the gamepad.
The 3DS and WU gamepad have built-in NFC censors.
Makes sense. For the 3DS, I think only the New Nintendo 3DS has the NFC sensors not the original 3DS.
Some people have managed to avoid taking them out. I'll have to look it up.Ok now I understand. Do you have to take them out of the box to do that?
Look better outside their boxes anyway.
I take my doubles out of their boxes. : shrugs :You take them out of the boxes. *heavy breathing*
