As part of a large extended family of Doggy members and supporters, we're forever grateful for Dale giving his everything for our Club.

I'm especially grateful for that tackle that won us that elusive Premiership that as a 66 year old (now) I thought I'd never see.

I've seen Dale a few of times at our local Bunnings and Woolies, and haven't approached him - partly not wanting to bother him and partly being a bit embarrassed.

When I see him next I won't let that moment pass by - I'll want to thank him for bringing us that joy in 2016. I might even show him my one and only tattoo to mark that occasion.

Thank you Dale Morris.

I love the SEN radio grand final commentary on the Victory Pack DVD. When we were 2 points down in the third quarter Morris dived at the football as it was close to the Member's wing boundary. This prevented Tom Papley from getting the ball and he tumbled over Morris who was on the ground trapping the ball. Morris then shot off a handball to Shane Biggs who kicked clear. I can't identify the commentator's voice, but as Morris dishes off the handball he says, "There's a guy who's just desperate for a premiership."

I found the bit about Buku driving Dale’s kids home from school very touching . You don’t think about the toll injuries take on players’ kids and families. Really want the kid to make it now.

No-one outside our club knows it. The retirement thread on the main board has about 12 replies, three quarters of which are from us. But this bloke was a truly great footballer. The glove. Such an apt nickname.

Nick Riewoldt’s son just breathed a sigh of relief knowing Dale Morris won’t be playing on him now. Maybe Charlie or Riley will.

Definitely go up and say hello. I’ve done it many times after seeing him at Woolies and Watergardens. He is the nicest most humble AFL player you will ever come across and was always happy to say hi and have a chat, especially to a Bulldogs member/supporter.

Warrior and champion on and off the field.

Surely he will be given a development coaching role next year the bloke bleeds red white and blue more than anyone

Champion is a much over-used word but there is no-one more deserving of the title than Dale Morris.

Universally respected and admired for all the right reasons we were unbelievably fortunate that he landed with us.

Without a doubt the most selfless player I have seen.

My lasting memory (aside from our best tackle this century) will be his attitude in his last game. When on, he played as he always did, with courage and a team first mantra. Once injured, he supported from the bench, had a smile on his face (despite the inevitable) and joined in the song with gusto. Great example for Rhylee West in game 1.

A grandstand named after this outstanding individual would not be out of place. Icon!

Dear AFLW Player Sponsors,

I hope you are all going well, and you are looking forward to spending Christmas with the ones you love.

It is with a tear in the eye as I write to you to let you know that, after 17 years at this great club, I will be departing on the 17th of December.

As your dedicated accounts manager over the past 14 months, I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know you all on a completely new level.

We have faced many challenges in such a short period of time, but your passion, loyalty, and commitment to the Red, White, and Blue has absolutely blown me away.

I have loved working with you all to grow and continually seek to be the pioneers in the AFLW space. There is no ceiling on where you all can take this group as there is genuine excitement and a unique energy surrounding our AFLW program.

Thank you for making this role an enjoyable one.

My family and I are excited for what the future may hold as we embark on a sea change and plan on migrating up North to Queensland.

Jake Summers and Laura Asciak will be managing the AFLW Player Sponsors coterie group from the 17th of December until a new dedicated account manager is appointed.

For any AFLW Player Sponsor related questions or queries after this date, please emailJake.Summers@westernbulldogs.com.au or Laura.Asciak@westernbulldogs.com.au

As always, take care and keep smiling 😊
