News just in that the Lindtt café in the Sydney CBD us under siege by at least 2 suspected gunmen who have taken upwards of 12 people hostage.
These people are suspected to be Islamic militants after hostages were seen holding up Islamic flags

It's a popular place near Channel 7 News, many of the banks, the courts, NSW Parliament. Probably the only place you could get at a lot of powerful people without dealing with heavy security.
It's fortunate there's only 13 people there - given how busy it can be there, it's very fortunate there aren't more people.

To me, the location makes me think this isn't going to end well: high profile, no way out.
If they are militants they wont want anything. they will probably just want to create a scene which likely means casualties. this is disastrous.

Yep they will have planned to not leave the cafe alive. I feel for the victims, only hope is that one of the terrorist dicks gets too close to a window and is taken out by a sniper.
Absolutely sickening. Was always a matter of time before one of the couple thousand Islamic nutcases did something awful.

Not to mention big windows. With cameras constantly fixed on it, it's not out of the question we'd see a murder on live tv? Or is it slightly delayed?
