Does that mean with Yeo it's not related to the OP?

Yes. Yeo said that on radio this morning actually. This is a muscle injury, his previous groin injury was bone apparently.

Said this felt completely different and in a different part of the groin.

Watching him chop up in the middle I wouldn't be surprised if it's a big swinging dick injury.

"Jeremy McGovern (hamstring): The question here is ongoing durability. McGovern has just turned 31. He had turned up to training fitter than ever for the 2022 season but broke down and missed 12 games."

Damn, "broke down" is a pretty harsh way to say "had his ribcage smashed in by Jeremy Cameron."

Rhino on the news said Yeo up to 4 weeks but not sure where he got that figure from

From the injury report that says 3-4 weeks maybe

Yeo, who endured a long battle with osteitis pubis, suffered an adductor muscle injury while tackling Patrick Dangerfield. Sheed saw a specialist last week and was told to avoid contact for at least another fortnight. Ryan is walking on crutches, while Chesser remains in a knee brace. The Eagles trained briefly on Tuesday, with Shuey and Jamieson on light duties amid hopes they can return this week. Edwards' wrist injury was suffered at training last week and he has avoided the need for surgery. Scans revealed a hamstring strain for Burgiel following the Eagles' WAFL loss at the weekend.

Curious as to Keys take bur doesn’t it strike you odd if Jamieson is ready to go he didn’t train with the main group today? Unless I just missed it, but he was initially with the SJOGHCIU group.

That to me does not indicate a mean ready to play solo ruck

Sorry lads. News gets worse

BBBBW is out. Burgiel is now injured too

West Coast are set to investigate the possibility of postponing its WAFL game at the weekend.
West Coast are set to investigate the possibility of postponing its WAFL game at the weekend.

West Coast’s injury crisis is on the brink of plummeting to the same depths as last year, with the club set to investigate the possibility of postponing this weekend’s WAFL clash due to a lack of fit squad members.
Sources have told The West Australian ruckman Bailey Williams is in doubt for the AFL side’s road clash against Port Adelaide after suffering a hamstring injury.
The already banged-up Eagles sent Elliot Yeo (groin) and first-round draftee Elijah Hewett (ankle) for scans on Monday on their respective injuries, while draftee Coby Burgiel re-injured his hamstring at WAFL training on Monday.

Not particularly important in the grand scheme of things but I’m giving The West a clip here. They’ve been on the click bait train for a while now and their reporting has been misleading

And again here they’ve reported Burgiel has having injured his hamstring at training which seemed rather weird when I read it given it would have been a recovery session that he’d barely get up to a jog in

The report today clearly states it resulted from the game on the weekend which makes far more sense

Maybe that’s why he wasn’t at training - too afraid to show his face knowing you were there

The report did say “a source” gave them the information, so it could be shonky sourcing.

It was mentioned in the training report him and Shuey did a decent level of training on Saturday. So this session would be a rest and they will probably ramp up again on Thursday.

Finally snapped and cracked the shits at them. The double figure TBCs was what did it.
To be fair to them, you and many others on this board (me included) used to roast them for giving timeframes that ended up being completely wrong (for example when a player would be stranded on 2-3 weeks for a month).

Maybe this is their solution? Bit of a damned if you do, damned if you don’t scenario for them. Return to play timeframes are difficult to predict so slapping a TBC on it when they are uncertain is probably how they are avoiding the backlash they used to get on the socials.

Don’t let Warren Kofoed and his jokers get off that easy

He’ll need to train well tomorrow as well before being selected

The recovery sessions like todays are hard to get reads from - it’s really just to freshen up from the game and players are on different programs for a wide variety of reasons

That said I’m far from convinced Jamieson is ready to go. He’s missed 3 games and his last AFL start he was subbed out

So going by Key's analysis, 14 players are injured for either medium or long term. To say that puts us in a precarious position would be an understatement.

If present rate of attrition continues for another 3 weeks then we WILL be needing top-ups.
