And had Geelong kicked straight they'd have won the '08 flag. Just because a team misses a lot of shots doesn't mean they were far superior. Hawks played well, no doubt, but the Crows were very good too and I believe a lot of this 'wankfest' has come about because of all the hype about how the Hawks were going to towel the Crows which didn't eventuate. Also all the shit people gave Adelaide about their soft draw and not 'deserving' top 4 was shown to be misplaced.

See this is where I disagree. I doubt many genuine fans think that the Crows were undeserving. You just can't finish 2nd, no matter what the fixturing and be out of your depth.

I expected a tough game tonight and that is what was delivered.

Sewell had a good game and a magnificent 15 minutes. He wasn't best on, nor was he Hawthorn's best.

I saw a great game of footy tonight, spirited and even cruel. I hate Hawthorn as much as any Geelong fan and I'm not going to start a thread talking them up under any circumstances but I'm also not the type to pot them either, I just leave it alone but I saw some performances from some Crows players that I think is worth talking about. Young players who were immense and delivered in a big final.

If you don't like what you see here, instead of having a whinge, stick to your Sewell thread. I didn't denigrate Hawthorn one iota in this thread, just wanted to celebrate some fine performances.
