So I'm pretty addicted to this game actually.

You're a Beast mate! I can see you're scores on the leaderboard 5th highest Career Runs and 2nd highest innings score! Just curious have you played out the full 20 seasons? If not what season are you up to? Kinda curious to know what the upper limit of a full career is.

I'm most happiest about having the fastest century!

Currently level 95, game 7 of season 18.

How many people have managed a ton. I've only ever came close once and was absolutely shattered when I went out.

According to the Leaderboards only 7 people have bought up triple figures! aaronevolution is killing it on the leaderboards should ask him for some tips ;)

That's great! I can see your currently second on the Most Career runs, over 10k that's a crazy commitment have you got any games left to catch the leader you're only a couple of hundred behind?

A few Q's.

How much does timing affect the shots? And does the window change? Seems like the same timing can result in either a 6 or a mishit. I guess at times it kind of seems like mishits are more predetermined or random than depending on how you've been hitting. Even after you've blocked a few in a row/been off strike for a while and have regained full stamina the mishits sneak in.

Blocks seem to loop up a bit too much too. If there's a short leg/silly point, it seems that they can catch a block way too often, which often leaves you in the situation of not wanting to block because if you're such a good chance of getting caught you might as well hit out and bank on it going to the boundary.

Still addicting though. According to the leaderboards I'm the only one in the Shane Warne club with a highest score of 99.

I cant open the leaderboards, never works

Do you see the iOS notification when you log in like "Welcome back grrofunger"? Maybe also check you're logged into Game Center in your settings. If so I think you need to wait for that before hitting the leaderboards button but you can access the leaderboards in the game from the button in the top left corner that looks like a little podium.

Timing does affect shots but also the stats of the batsman as well versus the bowlers stats. I wouldn't call it predetermined but there is like a RPG type roll of the dice when the bowler bowls a ball and when the batter swings. But you increase your shot odds if you say play a ground shot over a smash shot and having just been spamming the same shot, also blocking does increase your chances on the next shot but mainly through reducing the negative effect of say playing the same shot twice in a row if that makes sense. Ultimately you kinda need to keep levelling up your batsman and getting your stats up to keep making higher and higher scores.

That said there's a new version up on the app store version 1.0.2 where the bowling has been nerfed a little bit as well as the fielders have been nerfed about 10% as well. Also the bug where you could sometimes go out after hitting a six should be fixed.

Ah-k. When you say playing the same shot, does that take into account direction? So if I play along the ground on the offside, then onside, then down the ground, are they seen as different shots because of the direction, or the same because they're all along the ground shots?

Yeah so there's no penalty for playing a different ground shot one after the other as long as there in a different direction but every ground shot incurs a very small penalty that is easily removed by blocking or being off strike. The big penalties are for back to back smash shots or playing the shot in the same direction or heaven forbid playing the exact same smash shot!

There is actually a bit of a bonus though for say playing a ground stroke then a smash shot but you still have to take into account the smash shot has a higher risk associated with it regardless. Also here's a bit of a tip , when you get back on strike it doesn't matter what your last shot was feel free to go the tonk without a penalty involved , also being off strike will reduce the amount of the penalty you might of built up. Also blocking will help reduce the chance of a bad shot but your first shot should still be a different stroke after you block to not incur the penalty.

It's actually a pretty crazy little system going on behind the scenes to determine the result of the shot based of timing , stats of the bowler and batter, batters position, ball condition etc I might look at trying to surface some of that stuff a little bit better in a future update.

Thanks, I wasn't signed in to Game Center.

A quick look at the leaderboards now looks like none of my play has counted to the leaderboards because of this.

I can see that my 99 isn't showing :(

How long till android version?
This is my question too.

Have a fair amount of interest in cricket games...would like to see a competitors effort! ;)

.................and that's the end of a rather average performance of a 20 season career.
