He is a champion. He has given great service, his mates have mostly moved on & he wants to win flags. Objectively of the clubs interested in his services, geelong are most likely.

Well said, Sammy C, very rare to read balanced and unemotive threads on this site. Having said that I get that some supporters need to vent and have a crack at Smith going to our arch rivals, this really stings. Will never forget watching Smith dominate in the VFL GF before he got drafted and thinking we really need to get this guy.

In reality most supporters on this site would go to Geelong if they were in his position, there window is wide open for the next 2-3 years

thanks for your service izzie, hugely important player and one of my favourites. would've loved him to stay but he has forced our club into what i think many believe is the right direction. here's hoping we've already got our next great 10-year wingman to replace him

I'm trying to put a positive spin on this and say its a signal that we're going to play more youth so Isaac is going to a contender where he can play out his last couple of years. But that doesn't sit that well with picking up Hartigan so not so sure what to make of it. Sad to see him go, I guess we'll get no compensation either.
