Oh well.

I'll miss Isaac' s dash and excitement - was exactly what we needed when he came into the team. The Smith/Hill wing combo was an underrated part of our three flags.

Dissapointed he went to the cats, a strange call for me as their slow precise ball movement does not suit his game style (A great long kick, but can't hit a short target).

Hopefully means more games for an up and coming Hawk (or Will Day to the wing, where I ultimately hope he plays)

You're not making sense. You said rebuild from top, nothing is higher than Clarko.

Calling me a flog when you're not making sense is all I need to add. 😂

Mate we are all BigFooty flogs, I was referring to all of us, not you specifically.

And the board, President, etc. are higher than Clarko. I'm sure you can work it out from there.

Blokes head to Geelong for the lifestyle, Melbourne is slowly becoming a sh!thole and country kids like Isaac want their old creature comforts.
Jeremy Cameron another.

As one radio station said, you set up a team near the Mornington Peninsula and see how many blokes will lob at that club.

Hell, Richmond has about 5 blokes living in Torquay.

Geelong re-paying Smith for the miss goal in 2016 QF

yes been a 3 time premiership player we plucked out of nowhere, we gave him a go as a more mature age recruit but going to the cats and not repaying the faith in the Hawks to assist the younger brigade come through - nah pretty bitter on this one - i can understand moving on if you have never won one and chase the ultimate prize but to go to one of our biggest rivals on more or less the same offer of 2 years - nope do not wish him well at all!!!!!

that's IMO others may agree or disagree but that's how i feel

Ok, recovered from the initial shock.

Has been a very consistent player for us over the years. Hasn't really shown any age drop off when you look at his stats sheet, although this year is hard to assess with the injury and shorter quarters. Perfect type for Geelong, the kind of player that makes a good team better. Perceptions of his form dropping for us in recent years isn't backed up by the stats, and is really more about him being less effective in a less effective team. Hopefully we can organise our other trades to get at least some compo, but given what we got for others in similar situations, it is hard to be optimistic on that front.

Of the players that have left for other clubs in recent years, Smith probably has the most still left in him, so it is disappointing from that point of view, but at least its from a spot on the ground where we appear to have a few prospects on the list, or likely to arrive via draft. Hope we can bounce back from this year's form quickly, and we don't spend too long down the bottom, because watching Smith win 2 seasons worth of games against us in the blue and white hoops is going to ****ing hurt.

Does Dingley count as Mornington Peninsula?

It is backed up by the fact he didn't finish top 10 in the B&F last year despite playing 19 games.

His stats may be consistent with historical numbers, but his disposal has definitely gotten worse. He has been an all around less effective player (IMO).
